I have citibank cc for almost 10yrs na. Never had problems with citibank. Never received any marketing calls.

Sobrang sulit lately is yung Metrobank Platinum card. 50% off on some restaurants. Dati Peking Garden, then Kimpura. Now patapos na sa Lugang Cafe. May 40% off naman sa Outback.

HSBC ok din, free Starbucks coffee lagi, kaya feeling SC lagi without the cost

For traveling abroad, I use BDO Amex. sobrang baba ng exchange rate.

Sa banks, if a person is a "founding member" of an established CC, it's given due notice since it can possibly mean matagal ka nang client ng credit card company/bank na yan and you have a good standing given it's been active for very long.

What does your friend mean by hidden charges? Never pa ako naka experience na may hidden charges sa bill ko. And if meron? Don't pay! Contest it.

Never din ako naka encounter ng hidden charges with Citibank, nor with any other credit cards.

I don't know. maybe sa annual fee? wala naman nakalagay sa statement of account nila kung saan at kailan ginamit ang cc basta may pending charges lang.

I have been a long time Citibank credit card user and so far I have no issues with them. Service has been great.
Btw, when you call the hotline, you have to enter the card no. via an IVR.
