If you have bad credit card dealings and you clear it up and prove that you have a substantial earnings increase then you should be able to get a new CC. Sometimes there's an ascription period (i.e. 5 years) from the time you had a bad debt.

Same thing with bank loans. If you have a court case, past due loan, etc. it will come out on the BAP list and Court Case checkings but it should not deny you any accommodation outright as this can be still mitigated depending on your relationship with the Bank, if you can explain the circumstances behind the findings, your current financial capacity, etc.

I've always avoided Credit Cards and loan but heck, i still had to get a credit card for practicality sake. Just make it a point to pay it all off at the end of the billing period.

I'm saying kawawa naman mga na default at nagkaroon ng bad credit, bec of their juvenile indiscretion, it will haunt them for the rest of their lives. parang unfair naman siyemrpe since they are still young and all. hinde pa nila alam yun mga consequences ng bad credit but pag nag mature na and nag improve na financial standings eh wala ng chance mabawi yun nagawa nila nun bata pa sila.

as I've said I'm almost one of those who had a juvenile indiscretion but luckily I have my parents to bail me out during that time. and I've learned my lessons, paano yun hinde na talaga nakabayad?

Actually, lalabas dapat sa checking na fully settled na yung obligation (or whatever is its current status/balance is). Yung problema din minsan is yung system natin (as usual), di na-uupdate as it should be.

Just like an NBI clearance, hirap din yung mga may common name pag dating sa CI and court case verifications. Damay ka sa kalokohan ng ka-tukayo mo

Usually naman yung nag-CI for CC companies are outsourced so by the book sila mag CI, di nag qualify kung talagang yan yung tao na may negative findings or hindi.

Hmmph, strange. I've never had any problems with my Citibank credit card, and I've had mine for a fair number of years. In fact, even if I'm late paying a day or two, they don't charge me any finance charges or late fees. I've had no issues with my BPI and Standard Chartered cards either. The one credit card I had terminated was my HSBC card - miss the payment by about an hour or so, and you already get charged late fees. Also didn't like their customer service, had a few issues before.

The main thing I do with all my credit cards is to always pay in full all balances every month; I have cards with some high credit limits, but I've never had a problem with overspending. Also, assuming you have the financial restraint, having a credit card has certain advantages over paying in cash - one, you can take advantage of offers on the card, such as xx% off on fuel, groceries, etc; and two, you establish a record as a good debtor.

Will watch out sa mga complaints sa Citibank CC. So far okay naman sila at on time ang dating ng billing.
I normally pay in cash dahil ayaw kong matambakan ng bayarin. Nagagamit ko lang siya pag nag-ttravel ako. I have premier miles CC which earns premier miles pero di ko pa na-reredeem.

citibank sux. ang nakakainis sa citibank, shineshare ang contact info mo sa ibang companies, kaya lagi may tawag sa office na nagooffer ng kung ano ano. ever since I had my card deactivated tumigil na mga tumatawag.
    now only using BPI.

I like Citibank credit card because it is convenient to me, especially their online facility. I can check my balance anywhere, and pay anytime thru online transfer. Yung bagong transactions mo eh next month mo pa makikita.

I think if you have a problem managing credit, then a credit card is not for you. But for people who know how to use credit to their advantage, the higher the credit limit, the better. Parang meron kang naka-ready parati na instant cash, in case of emergency.

I think someone should start a thread about Citibank Personal Loans also. This is a totally different animal.

6 years na ata citibank cc ko. so far so good... happy with the points that can be used to pay for half the purchases in selected store. then they issued me a rustan's card and may points ako sa rustan's supermarket fresh card, may cash back pa sa rustan's store. they will issue GC daw so i can buy what ever we want mas sulit.

even my wife's citibank mercury card is ok... every 250 worth of points is automatically deducted on purchases in mercury. ok din yung free movies dati sa citibank.

No and don't call back. don't want to be rude and just hang up pero minsan parang bastos yung agents.

and meron pa sila isang gimik pala yung insurance, in case may mangyari sa card holder para may magbabayad daw, sabi ko eh di kayo mag bayad ng premium kayo makikinabang dyan eh. bat sa akin nyo charge... the agent just gave me a run around then asked... ano sir para protected kayo... i just hung up... what an a$$h0l3 agent

For minimum of Php 2,000 single receipt transaction: 1 order of 1-pc Chickenjoy with rice
For minimum of Php 6,000 single receipt transaction: 2 orders of 1-pc. Chickenjoy with rice Plus 2 orders of Regular Yum

na experience ko din yan. late billings. i called them up and i demanded them to inform me of my billings of the month through mobile, which I get about 7-8 days before due, and through email. because I want to have this documented. no issues so far.

They've improved a lot since then. The collection agencies are bullies. You kick in them hard in the nuts they won't fight back.
