I think I received about 10 letters like this already. HSBC reps called me once and I just replied I want it but I dont need it yet. If you're a good cardholder (regular to heavy user & always pay in full), they keep on sending pre-approved loans and other stuff.

While we're on a topic of credit card services, I have received a pre-approved card from BDO with hefty a credit limit. I've kept the car for a while now and I'm thinking of switching cards for a change. I'll still keep my trusty CTB and use this instead but I wanna ask for feedback from Tsikot cardholders.

    >How'd you find BDO card services, especially their CS hotlines?
I own a BDO credit card but the ShopMore one- lower credit limit and lower membership fee (monthly).
I dont know about their regular cards -Visa and MC. CS are ok, easier to contact compared to HSBC

    >Did you experiences problems with POS at establishments? Online usage?
I have encountered once at Robinsons Supermarket- but the problem was only only for BDO but all MasterCard CC. I used my other card (HSBC-Visa) that time.

Online usage? NO problems. I use it to book airline tickets online.

    >Do they waive their Annual Fees?
No idea on this since Im not holding a regular card. Membership is monthly while their regular (elite) cards are annually.

    TIA.
Yesterday, I received my renewal card already (including my supplementary), a month before our card's expiration period.

HSBC sucks in sending the bill on time plus they refuse to waive annual fees.
i don't have citibank cc, but my hsbc and maybank cc are ok. both annual payments are waived and payment is made online

Wala naman ako problema sa Shell Citibank so far. Citibank's the world's largest credit card issuer, maybe their quality of service is deteriorating? On the otherhand, I noticed that my order for a supplementary card was 2 days late from what was the usual.

If you've been a Citibank card member for at least 10 yrs., the annual fee should be waived.

Madali lng magpawaive ng credit limit. Natuto lng ako last 2 years ago.
    1. Dapat wala kang installment sa card or kaya mo bayaran buo
    2. Dapat ok lng sa iyo i-Cut yun card pag ayaw i waive (just for safety)

    Eto sabihin mo,

Ikaw <- up to you. Pero waive yun annual fee mo sureball
If ever cut talaga gusto nila. Pacut mo, then re-apply. Dami daming card companies jan. Di ka mauubusan.

Still have citibank, but yes, it's not without issues from them.

Missed Meralco payment, which they never noticed.
Insurance payments which we never agreed to.
Constant attempts to increase credit limit - pero so far they call first naman, and we keep saying we don't want to, but it's getting annoying since too frequent.

Naka 5 tawag na ako to no avail. Pinapawave ko membership fee, di daw pwede. Tapusin ko lang pagbabayad ng paylite ko at kunin ko rewards ko then goodbye citibank at good riddance.

Although 2-3x nang nag automatic increase yung limit before, but this time kasi, temporary increase lang for our trip abroad, ayaw ba naman.

Panapanahon lang yan. i have several cards (BDO, BPI, Citi, HSBC). I use different cards for different purchases to maximize benefits.

For Gas, or other purchases above P2,000 - I use HSBC (libre starbucks). Before since mabuhay miles to, napa-convert ko to miles yung points so na-upgrade na yung membership ko to elite.

For purchases sa SM - siyempre BDO. On some occassions, may additional points sa BDO rewards (which you can use for purchases later on).

Citibank - For Rustan's purchases (cash back). Before i used this more than HSBC kasi pwedeng libre sine sa rockwell. hehe

It's OKAY to have a big credit limit if you can afford to pay the full amount every month. Financial discipline lang ang kelangan. You can use your credit cards to your full advantage if you just read their offers.
