Authorities in that area should be more proactive in monitoring soil conditions and closing off the area when they deem it too dangerous.

Or is there a monitoring system in place already?

They should use that Fort photo on their signs then.

    Watch out for falling rocks.

Napanood ko dati ang documentary ng GMA on the construction of kennon road, lots of lives were lost while building that road...americans,japanese and filipinos. Most of them died due to landslides/falling rocks and malaria.

Although kennon is the shortest route to baguio coming from manila, this is the most hazardous especially during rainy season. May kilala akong rescue group based in baguio and according to their records, most rescue and retrieval ops nila ay sa kennon vs the marcos and naguilian roads.

Was driving on kenon downhill few months ago and a typical siento bente car keep on trailing dangerously close behind me. Prolly doing more than 50kph. I let the car pass because he is pretty aggressive even counterflowing on curves. A few km's in after the car passes, i saw him in an accident with another car. (Nothing major) Was lauging really hard but i felt sorry for owner of the car that he bumped in. Rule of thumb, know your cars limit.

Building that road was dangerous and arduous task then, precisely due to falling rocks or boulders

So when driving on a road with warnings like watch out for falling rocks, turn off your radio and be watchful of the side of the road where rocks could possibly roll

I'd just stay away from Kennon completely. Damn boulder reminds me of those Final Destination movies.
