If you are driving along Manila streets there seems to be no rule of law regarding traffic despite the presence of many Mptb deployed by the city gov't. I understand that MPTB means Manila Parking and Traffic Bureau and their main task is to implement and regulate traffic laws. But to my surprise they are choosy apprehending only private vehicles even without violations especially lke swerving.two or three just pooled together in the corner waiting for their victims.
To cite certain areas where there is always traffic but they seems to ignored them are:
    1) Pedro Gil cor TAft ave. Puj using these corner as terminal no lane for privat to pass thru with the presence of mptb
    2) Sta Mesa Cor V. Mapa especially at 7 am to 9am used as terminal with the presence 2-3 mptb
    3) Sta mesa infront of UERM going to Manila cor of Mezza condominium of Sm despite presence of traffic aide MMda and QC traffic aide
4)In front of sm centerpoint allowed puj used as terminal and allowed them to cut trip and not in right lane to make a u turn along Araneta AVe. going back to Sta Mesa.
    5) The most frustrating driving in Manila is that they allowed counter flow of tricycle, bicycle, motorcycles and the likes. The streets are Estrada st . near La salle , St. Scholastica in Malate. In binondo, the areas are Escolta, Reina Regente, Plaza Ruiz to name a few. Just like yesterday while in Escolta, I encountered a tricycle over loaded with boxes of cartoon in his trike with one passenger counterflowng along Escolta instead of giving way to me , he even muttered some dirty words against me. To think of it is this right.

To Mayor Lim, if I remembered right , you have a campaign slogan states that THE LAW APPLIES TO ALL, IF NOT, NONE AT ALL.

I have high hope for Mayor Lim to make Manila as a model city. More power!

Area near FEU along Morayta corner P. Paredes, ginawang Jeepney terminal.

idagdag pa dyan yung bagong intersection dyan from intramuros going to SM manila... lalo tuloy nag trapik at daming nahuhuli dyan beating the red light kasi yung stop light eh naka tago at wala proper road markings kaya mga private vehicles na hindi nakapansin huli lagi...

Meron akong theory 5 years ago na for as long as meron mga jeep, hindi aasenso ang Pilipinas. Parang naging barometer ko sya ng progress. Sobrang inefficient and unproductive ng jeeps: Stop and go in every corner possible, stalls traffic leading to waste of manhours and gas, simpleng u-turn lang hirap na hirap, hindi naman napupuno and yet byahe ng byahe, etc.

I lived there for 6 years nung college. After 10 years, hindi ko akalain na ganun dun sa kanto na yun. Ngayon, when going to Manila, as much as possible iniiwasan ko na ang routes na mayrong jeep at masikip yung daan. Hassle talaga.
