August 31st, 2012 12:47 PM #932I would also like to share my experience with those MC before with our war Mazda B2500 pickup which was already sold. It was hit on the rear bumper 2x, same side.
One incident was along Batasan Road. Afternoon and traffic was fairly light to moderate, we were stopped waiting for left turn or U turn at the intersection towards Filinvest 1 then suddenly I felt my car jerked and I heard a bang. I looked at my mirror and saw tricycles and people looking at my rear. I got out of the car then I saw the MC rider cleaning his shorts since he hit my bumper and fell. He even showed me the scratches on his knees due to his fall. I didn't give a f*ck. I asked what happened, he replied "nagipit ako." Then I said "kaya binangga mo ako?" No sorry from him and reiterated that he didn't get enough space to squeeze his junk. Then I said just take care next time leaving him with people around him with all those scratches on his knees.
Next was along Quirino Hiway. That was the time when there were still a lot of road works in that area and there were lots of potholes that was fairly big with a pool of water. 2 cars in front of me slowed down since there was a pothole. When it was my turn, after my rear tires just got out of the hole, the car jerked. I thought the engine died. Then I saw a man at my back and I just said "well I'd be damned if this idiot hit me." I got out of my car and looked, there he was cleaning himself and there were parts of his pants that got wet. I asked what happened, his reason was we were slow and I did a sudden brake so it was already late when he tried to change lane. Stupid riders. Then I said that there is a big pothole there and there were cars in front too, the same with the first, I just told him be careful next time and left his dirty ass there.
At least all I got was just a big dent on the right side of my bumper since it was metal. Man, I love that truck. That was my war car.hehe

I myself am a rider, I ride everyday, it is my alternative transportation since I returned the car to my mom.
One thing I hate about other riders is that they don't keep their distance, riding a motorbike in essence is dangerous as we don't have any protection like bumpers, roofs and seatbelts. If in case something will happen, we will definitely fall on the ground.
One thing about lane-splitting, I myself hate it, but at times I have to do it for safety reasons, e.g. someone might hijack my MC, and of course, standing under the sun can really be hot. So every time I lane split I do it on the opposite lane where I could see incoming vehicles and pedestrians and vehicles turning left to counter flow.
There was one scenario, I went to Lipa, Batangas from San Pedro, Laguna. While I was transversing the National Highway, just past SM Sta. Rosa, I was on full stop, then suddenly a rider bump into my left rear footpeg, I yelled on him "Matuto ka kasi dumistansya! Nga-nga!" Though he apologised, I still keep my distance from other riders, ika nga eh... pinapauna ko na sila.
Riding is fun and cost-effective, however riders and cagers alike must share the road without offending each other (though I know most of the offenders are some pesky riders.)
Oh, and one more thing, those Mios with loud mufflers annoys me, they are scooters so we don't hear them change gear, it's just one loud continuous blow until the rider releases the throttle, or until you hear them crash... hehe!

i don't mean to impose or to say that peste mga naka motor sa daan, pero there are times or most of the time, they act as pests. imagine, kaliwa't kanan, overtake without signal, lulusutan ka bigla bubusinahan ka pa, sila pa pasimuno ng counterflow, sasalubungin ka kahit sa traffic na daan at isisiksik sarili sa may stoplight tapos eh kanya kanyang tadyakan o pindutan inabutan ka na ng red light. diba nakaka pikon?
on the other side, hanga ako at saludo ako sa mga naka motor na maayos sa kalsada, yung mabait, nagpapadaan ng tao, di nagtetext di namamasyal sa highway, at marunong tumabi pag di mabilis takbo nakumpas pa na pinalalagpas ka.
i hope wala masaktan o magalit sa sinabi ko... its just that sana naman matutu rumespeto mga naka motor.

wala naman problema kung madami ang mc sa kalye. ang problema yung mga pasaway na riders. kulang na kulang sa disiplina. maraming walang road courtesy.

MCs are disregarding the motorcycle lanes on EDSA and Commonwealth. Sayang as i found these good since more or less, you are more aware of where they are.
Last night on EDSA i encountered two motorcycles who were recklessly swerving in and out of traffic. Yung isa muntikan na ma-bingo ng bus.

Minsan ayaw nyan magpasingit sa motorcycle lane. Happened to me many times sa Philcoa. Pinauusukan ko na lang paggamit ko yung adventure.
