Just this evening, we decided to go to Libis to eat dinner. As we approach Cubao, our way was to turn right to Edsa. From E.Rod., we were obliged to change lane to the right in order for us not be caught for a violation. I changed lane safely and signalling to the right as there were still few vehicles on the road. As I was already on the right lane (kakanan na lang sa Edsa), naka-red pa rin yung traffic light, inisip ko no right turn on red light kasi nahuli na rin ako dati ng ganiyan sa Edsa rin. So I waited for the green light in order for me to go.

Sabi niya, "Oo, swerving kayo sir eh". Ako naman nagulat at, "Paano ho naging swerving un? Eh nagsisignal naman ako at andiyan na ako sa right lane eh, kakanan na lang ako". He answered me, "swerving po kayo sir eh" (Diba, yun lang sagot niya? Nice answer koya!).

Me: Ano ho yung swerving boss? At paano ako naging swerving dun sa ginawa ko?
MMDA: Swerving ay changing lanes wrecklessly. Swerving kayo sir kasi galing kayong E.Rod eh. Pag galing Sta. Mesa hindi swerving.
Me: Ahh so ganun, yung mga galing E.Rod bawal na dumaan dito ganun?
MMDA: Opo sir. (Habang may kumakanan din)
Me: Oh bakit un? Hindi ba swerving un? Bakit hindi mo hinuli?
MMDA: galing siya Sta. Mesa sir eh.
Me: WTF? Nakita mo pang galing siyang Sta. Mesa eh andito tayo sa may kanto?
    MMDA: Patingin po lisensya boss.
Me: (holding my license, showing it to him.

Sorry, from English to Tagalog yung sinabi ko. Nanosebleed na ko eh. :bwahaha:

sir, there is actually a sign na bawal kumanan if you are from aurora blvd. at the foot of the flyover/ underpass, may nakalagay din na you should turn right there (towards sta mesa) and probably make a u turn or something... so bale magiging from sta mesa ka na. marami nang nahuhuli diya.

but you are right, strictly speaking di naman swerving yan. i do not see the logic in their "no right turn to edsa from aurora blvd" sign either. oh well, ang dami namang pinaglalagay at pinaggagawa ang mmda na walang katuturan.

di ata mmda yun, light blue ang uniform nila.

bro, it's not actually the license #. He may take note of your plate # and yun ang ire-report nya sa MMDA database. Now, if your car is registered sa name mo, the one that would be flagged would be your License and come renewal time, ayun na! Hopefully, this kind of practice na yung violation is not acknowledged (ticketless) should be stopped.

now, a friend of mine always brags about how he treated these mmda's who were flagging him.
just recently he was so irate when he's gonna have his car registered. nagsulputan violations nya, hindi lang isa. di tuloy sya makapag-parehistro. kala nya naka-isa na sya.

meron dyan yung u-turn slot tapos may nilagay pa silang plastic barrier para yata makahuli sila ng swerving.

yung ibang u-turn slot kasi pag nasa leftmost lane ka may choice kang mag u-turn or derecho kung walang barrier, yung sa libis may plastic barrier kaya dapat talaga mapapa u-turn or else pag pinilit mong change lane to the right swerving na.

Ok lang sana kung registered sa akin yung car, it's registered under my dad's name. Kung sakali maaabala ko pa siya. Tsk tsk. I'll take the blame from him na lang and help him kung sakali.

    2. No number coding in Taguig, Marikina and Parañaque.
    3. Window hours in Pasig City are from 9 am to 4 pm.
    4. Number coding in effect in Caloocan, Mandaluyong, Manila, Navotas, Pateros, Quezon City, Valenzuela and San Juan. Window hours are from 10 am to 3 pm.
    5. Pasay City is implementing Number Coding except on the following roads: Ninoy Aquino Avenue, MIA Road, Domestic Road, Airport Road, Sales Road and parts of Buendia.
    6. EDSA, C5, Pres. Diosdado Macapagal Avenue and Roxas Blvd have window hours regardless of the city.
    7. Still no umber coding during weekends and is suspended during national and special holidays.

Rules on MMDA Apprehension for Traffic Violations
    1. MMDA officers are not allowed to group together in order to apprehend. They are not even allowed to stand together in groups of 2 or more. The only time they are allowed to work together is for special operations.
    2. Swerving IS NOT a traffic violation. Moving one lane to the left or right is not swerving, no matter where on the road you do it. And it is even less of a violation when you do it with a signal. Swerving is defined as shifting 2 or more lanes very quickly.
    3. Using the yellow lane is a traffic violation and will get you a ticket. However, buses are really not allowed to go out of the yellow lane.
    4. Your driver’s license MAY NOT BE CONFISCATED at a traffic apprehension. The only time they can do so is if you are part of an accident, or it is your third violation and you have not settled your fines yet. They are only allowed to give you a ticket, which you can contest. He recommends actually receiving the ticket in some instances, so that you can report the officer who did it.
    5. Also, you are free to ask any of these officers for their "mission order", which is written by their supervisor. If they apprehend you for a violation that is not in their mission order for the day, you can report them and they will receive disciplinary action.
    (sent to me via email)
