Kahapon may ganyan, sa may bandang Edsa-Santolan. 2 silang sakay ng motor pareho walang helmet tapos mabilis patakbo. Hindi ata nacontrol ayun tumama sa may isang harang ata. Sugatan pareho. Sila pa may gana magalit na kesyo ang bagal daw dumating ng tulong from MMDA. Hayyy....

I thought I've seen it all when it came to delinquent motorcyclists. But what I saw this morning definitely takes the cake.

This bald-headed guy we came across was talking to someone on his cell phone. No, he wasn't using the handsfree or speakerphone. He was actually cradling the phone between his left cheek and left shoulder. And he was doing so while riding his motorcycle, without a friggin' helmet. On top of that, he was overtaking recklessly on a narrow street. Panis si Evel Knievel sa stunt niya.

Motorcyclist with the whole family on board, here's their sitting arrangement

1 kid at the very front most next to the handle bar.
next is the father
next is another kid sandwiched between mom & dad
next is the mother

this one takes the cake

the mother is craddling the another kid on her lap, making the kid stand-up on her lap and holding the kid at the waist. geez

this family probably have death wishes or sumthin

e di bili sya ng helmet na agv, shoei or arai. maporma pa rin sya. sa robinsin;s ermita, meron dun agv na may decals na rossi. gayang-gaya talaga. 14K petot ata. kung mas maporma, yung helmet ng motorad bilhin nya.

My former boss' very astute observation of motorbike-riding families:
In addition to all of this motoring frivolity we have the moped rider plus family, it seems that as soon as your offspring are old enough to grip, moped training takes place - this usually involves father driving, mother as pillion and children (in size order) holding onto the sibling in front. The funny thing about this (apart from the obvious) is that only the father wears a crash helmet - for everyone else a sturdy pair of flip-flops seems to suffice. In case of emergency aim for your dad! We have witnessed tiny infants, like baby champanzees, holding on for dear life as daddy weaves through the traffic like an epileptic dispatch rider!
