Otep, something similar happened to me last week when i was crossing along the one-way portion of Annapolis near OB Montessori. In this case the road was wide open, i was more than halfway across the street and the motorbike was going against traffic, he didnt give way and even darted in front of my path (ako pa yung huminto) and he almost sideswiped me... what did i do? sinuntok ko sa likod. It didnt throw him off balance but it made him stop and i walked toward him to confront him but he sped away.... school zone pa naman.

i think motorcycles and scooters feel that they are half pedestrian and half motor vehicle.

+1 dito. i'm not against riders. they also pay taxes, like we do. kaya lang sila napagiinitan kase i don't think there's a proper course in the philippines for you to learn how to ride a motorcycle/scooter/moped. kaya siguro sila ganun.

ang ayoko lang ay yung mga reckless talaga, whether you're in a car or a motorcycle.

OT: in other countries, bicycles are considered pedestrians. may nakita ako somewhere in paranaque, ang nakalagay bawal ang bicycles sa pedestrian lane. so san sila? sa highway?

dapat talaga may hiwalay na lane for two-wheelers

The issue here is not who pays tax and who doesn't. Roads were constructed for the public.

you know sa Marikina, they have provided a lane for this cyclist/scooters pero there are still some dumb reckless bikers that doesn't utilize its purpose...

I wonder if Marikina have made an ordinance for this?

di naman implied na pag may accident e yung bigger agad ang may kasalanan.. that has to be established (who's at fault) from an impartial investigation...

and also, there aren't laws anywhere that limits motorcycles to certain lanes are they are considered as motor vehicles as well..

we do not need new laws... what we need is the enforcement of current laws... start from licensing... the government should make sure that those who get their license, be it for motorcycles or for cars are duly screened... make sure all vehicles are street legal and apprehend all those who drive recklessly... implement what the law says, not create new laws just because the existing ones cant be implemented...

i am a motorcycle rider as well, and i despise those who ride recklessly with utter disregard to other road users.. be they pedestrians or other vehicles...
