March 23rd, 2006 06:25 PM #1Nanghuhuli na ng mga trucks (elf/nkr, canter) w/c were originally 6-wheeler na converted to 4-wheeler. Illegal conversion ang violation kuno, even if when you bought the truck from the dealer it was already like that and the LTO registered it as such. Hindi ba't weight ang basis ng truck ban at hindi number of wheels? Checked w/ several LTO offices, ang sagot: "di ko alam" Called LTO main, ang sagot: "13,500kg!!!!!!!!!!" Mga hinayupak! Saan ba makakakuha ng complete traffic rules and regulations? Wala sa LTO website....

para sakin..
hindi naman talaga dapat bawasan ng gulong un eh.
kung ginawa ung truck for 6-wheels dapat 6-wheels ang ilagay.
un ang proper designation eh. baka malagot pa tayo sa safety.
ngayon kung mahuhuli ka.. mayroon kang nilabag na rule pero hindi malinaw..
bahala na ung apprehending officer.. diskarte na nga kumbaga..
ganyan din ung ginawa ng uncle ko eh.. converted a 6-wheeler truck to a 4-wheeler passenger-type van.

traffic rules and regulations, drtiving tips, car care books pa lang ang nakikita ko sa national bookstore.
ung mismong law book ng LTO di ko lang alam..

March 27th, 2006 10:57 AM #4Problem is, pinayagan ng LTO before ang pagpapa tanggal ng 2 tires kaya halos lahat ng surplus trucks you can see are 6 to 4 wheeler conversions. ang truck ban ay based on weight, 4,500kg max (was able to get mmda memo) at walang distinction kung ilang gulong. mas malabo naman kung discretion ng metro aide apprehending "officer" at di naman alam ang pagkakaiba ng tare weight at GVW, much less what they mean.
As far as i know there is no law against converting a 6-wheeler truck to 4-wheeler. And I used an original 4-wheeler differential/axle. the chassis of our orig 4-wheeler and our converted one is exactly the same. And na retain yung track width of the rear.
bumalik ulit driver sa LTO main, ang gusto naman ngayon ay to change the GVW of the manufacturer! Ang correct GVW 3.6T (meron silang brochure from Isuzu) and Tare weight of 1.6T so capacity is 2T. Pero since may aluminum van at lifter na yung truck, nadagdagan ng 500kg yung weight based on truck scale so 2.1T na. KASO, pinipilit na 2T pa rin ang capacity kaya ang dating 3.6T na GVW ay 4.1T na daw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 19th, 2009 12:18 AM #5Kumuha ako ng exam kanina sa LTO Cavite (19 nov.'o9) para sa professsional license ko.Ang mga gago binagsak ako sa exam kasi 43 ang nakuha ko, dapat daw 45 ang score. Nung hinihingi ko ang test paper ko para malaman ko kung saan ako nagkamali e ayaw nilang ipakita,kailangan ko daw gumawa ng letter at 3 weeks daw bago marelease. practical questions lang naman ang mga tanong at napakadali, bakit di nila maipakita kung ano ang mga mali para maitama. sa tingin ko ginagawa nilang negosyo ang pagpaparetake ng exam kasi 160 pesos din yon. ni wala ngang lectures na ibinibigay bago ang exam at nagkalat pa rin ang mga fixers sa LTO Cavite.

wala pa po yatang specific book na napublished para sa philippine traffic rules. kahit yung mga enforcer the LTO, PNP, MMDA ay meron pagkakaiba sa explaination sa bawat violation. simpling swerving lang iba iba ang paliwanag nila....na experience ko na kasi.
sa TS, try mo na lang mag compile ng sarili mo kung interesado ka talaga.

sa palagay nyo po ba bagsak kayo?.......less than 10% lang usually ang totoong bumabagsak sa Exam ng LTO. Pero pagka "nagbigay" lahat kahit kalahati pa ang bagsak pasado lahat!...wifey used to work at a drugtest center serving different LTO offices in MM.kaya nalaman ko how bad na malaking pera ang nawawala sa kawawang aplikante...

had an experience similar to this before. i was driving a mazda commuter van (yung lumang model na 6 wheeler) along bonifacio ave. when this traffic enforcer flagged me down at sinabing bawal daw yung van ko because truck ban daw?(hehehe) instead na magalit ako, pinagtawanan ko yung enforcer and said na weight ang basis ng truck ban and considering na hindi naman truck yung dala ko. ubod ng tanga!!!
