Yeah. To think they're on vacation.
When we go on vacation as a family with several vehicles, we just travel at a loose convoy or kanya-kanya talaga. I can say most of us drive at a quick clip, passing cars, buses and trucks with redline 2nd-3rd gear shifts and we use our signal lights to let those following know whether it is clear/safe to pass or if its time to move in as there are oncoming vehicles or a blind curve. At the end of it, we all keep to our own pace and kung magkaiwanan, walang problem since we all see each other at the rest stop or when we get to our destinations. Yung ibang convoy kasi, parang mamamatayan kung nasinigitan or nagkaiwanan sila.

^Subjective yan. Depende sa tao.
Minsan "wait lang, ako muna"
Minsan naman "bilisan mo mauna ka na!" :bwahaha:
Pero mas madalas yung una.

June 2nd, 2012 03:01 PM #36If youl notice in some vehicles yung signal stalk ng flash may nakasulat na pass then may arrow pataas.
That means you are signaling the opposite traffic that you have to pass and you are claiming the right of way, and they need to prepare to yeild.
Sometimes it means that your light is blinding the opposite traffic signaling you to switch or check your beams.
Kung namimickup ka along the road, it means you are signalling your presscence and dapat lapitan ka.

I just signal the vehicle in front with few burst of high or low beam, turn signal light, then patay headlight on lang ang foglight then uL know if passing will be safe.
At daytime, no choice but to wait if opposite lane is clear, lalo na yung uphill na blind road madami din nadadale dyan sa umaga.
Sa case ni everest driver, kung gabi nangyari ang accident malamang mabilis ang approach nito sa curve at 3 bus ang sinibak nya bago salubungin si Roro. Miscalculate nya ang curve at no chance to go back to the lane, or maybe tutok, pina, sabay kabig to overtake ayun sapol.

The feature is called flash to pass. It means the one flashing is claiming right of way. The correct local answer would be a quick off and on of your low beams if this was at night. However, a growing number of motorists also drive with their headlamps on during daytime and the same off and on gesture is appreciated.

they (the one in front of you) may even (hand) signal you to pass them. or they will turn their right turn signal lights to signify that they're letting you pass them. kumbaga a matter of trust and honesty plus courtesy na rin.
kahapon as i was travelling to the north somewhere (just passed)urdaneta, may convoy ng mga suvs, hiaces, etc. na naka-on ang mga headlights. lead car (a hundred meters away from me) signalled with his lights then akala ko sya lang andami pa pala humihirit sa likod. nung malapit nako ako na rin nagflash ng headlights ng sunod sunod. ayun bumalik ang mga loko sa kanilang mga linya. kala mo eh sa kanila daan.
