BUT, be extra careful! Pwede kang ipakulong diyan. Like what happened to me just this Dec 23. An MC rider bumped my rear tailgate (posted at TSCP thread) and all he's got is a student's permit and an unregistered MC.

This was last July.

My little brother and I were about to go to school riding and while looking for a parking slot there was this Dark Green "ricey" 1999 Starex driven by a that was pulling off the parking space (Dropped his kids), then the guard who was assisting the Starex signaled him to stop and allowed me to pass. So there, I drove by. When my car reached the back of the Starex the driver honked his horn like hell! I was like WTH?

I wasn't able to find an empty slot so I just parked the car beside the curb and guess what? when my little brother and I were about to step out the car, the Starex pulled beside me, rolled down the windows and and started :rant:. His wife was beside him by the way.

I, on the other hand, with my light-tinted windows closed, was like: :huh:

I then decided to roll down my windows. I can see to their faces that they wanted to laugh or something, maybe get angrier because I am just a 4th year HS student, driving.

I said: Ano po problema niyo?

Mr.OA: Ikaw ano problema mo? Nakita mong umaatras ako sisingit ka pa porket maliit yang kotse mo (i10).

Me: Eh pinahinto naman po kayo ng guard tapos pinadaan niya ako.

Mr. OA: Eh Nakita mo ngang umaatras ako!

I said: Hay nako, late na po ako.

I didn't wait for his reply, I immediately closed my windows.
I can still see him doing :rant:, then after a few seconds, they drove off.

We stepped out the car after they were gone from sight. Dahil ayokong hayaan na kumibo pa siya dahil isang tawag ko lang... Naku. We then went inside the school dahil na-late na nga talaga kami.

Final message to Starex driver:
Konting lamig lang ng ulo tsaka bawas-bawasan ang pagka-OA.
Hindi porket bata ako eh magaganun mo ako.
Piliin mo kung saan at sino ang babanggain mo.

O diba, dito nga dapat ilabas ang umuusok nating galit sa mga OA at walang katuturan.

Some advantages and disadvantages:

Proliferation of MC stores: grabe sa dami ng stores, kahit saan. mura at P2.5T to P5 T down, may motorsiklo ka na. This is an advantage especially to those who cannot afford to buy a 4-wheel vehicle. Pero some buyers do not invest in proper education to learn how to ride or drive. ( or even invest in safety gears like helmet)...

Traffic enforsers: Uy madami sila ngayon! And you feel that no one will violate on the road dahil visible sila. Kakatakot sa dami, pero ayun, you can see them in groups (which is not allowed) and they look only for what- coding violators! Some are not even aware of the traffic rules and regulations. Then some are even takot when the violator is driving an SUV!

Road signs: An advantage since you are guided on directions, locations. But no one thought of warning you on the road or traffic conditions! for example sa SLEX, they keep on increasing the rates, but their communication facilities sucks! Why can't they install LCDs, lights, billboard or something sa Magallanes pa lang informing motorist to take alternative routes going south...especially if there is an accident along SLEX. YOu get to know whats going on only when you reach the toll gates, kaya lang ipit ka na sa traffic. or worst, the tellers do not even know what's the cause of the traffic.

Education: Um daming schools today, daming graduates! What is sad is maraming graduate that still need to be educated on proper road use! Dapat ata may subject na Driving 101 sa college!

I think in the end, the worst part is some drivers have forgotten their GMRC.......good manners and right conduct! or did they even learn it when they were young?

Hay nako...If only we can sell GMRC, baka bilyonario na ako!

Para di OT: paano naman yung mga jeep na kahit naka-Green light na ang traffic lights eh ayaw umandar? But instead kapag nag-yellow o worse kapag red na eh tsaka lang sila aandar at ipipilit pa?

Ako asar na asar talaga ako pag nasa stop light ka lalo na pag ikaw ang una tapos may sisisnggit na MC sa harap mo minsan kumpol pa. Sabay pag go ang babagal, ayun minsan bababaran ko ng busina para tumabi nakakatawa pag nagugulat yung iba.just ranting..

Nuong isang araw, 2 way lang yung road, May nagcounter-flow na motor sa left side ko. Tapos hindi ko siya napansin kasi sinu ba naman sisingit sa kabila diba and 9 times out of 10 hindi ko nakikita ang mga motor sa side mirror ko unless nasa tamang daan sila.

Nag-CF siya tapos bigla rin ako nagbirit, So alanganin siya preno siya sabay lipat sa kanan sumingit sabay mura sa right window ko (rolled down) so ano yun siya pa galit? So tinitigan ko lang ng masama sabay birit.

Tapos lumalapit nanaman sa right window ko.

So minura ko rin kasi siya naman ang mali, tapos cruise mode din siya sa gilid ko parang naghahamon ng away, ABA sakto kakahatid ko lang sa pamangkin ko naiwan niya yung pellet gun niya (toy gun pero mukhang totoo talaga), PULOT sabay tutok ko sa kanya, WOOOOOOW 0-100kph yung motor daig pa ferrari at porsche. Hahahahah, Siyempre hinabol ko para magtanda, Senyas ng senyas yung kamay niya ng high five (means sorry daw) aba hindi ko tinigilan haha, Tawa ako ng tawa pero haruroot din ako tapos napag-isip isip ko rin na baka maaksidente siya kakatakbo sa akin so pinabayaan ko na. Mga 3 mins na umaatikabong action scene ang nangyari. Mangiyak iyak siguro yung naka-motor.


Wag po mainit ang ulo, Kung init ng ulo lang din eh sa sarili niyo na lang din. Kasi hindi naten alam na mas matindi pala magalit yung ginagalit naten or pag-tripan ka.

I hate it when those motorcycles cut you off in a diagonal line then raise their hands to gesture "sorry" when you give them a loud burst of honking. I mean, I honk to let them know there's a 1.5 ton vehicle behind them running at 50-60 kph and they're not supposed to be crazily cutting in front of vehicles.

But they just never learn. My bumper's a gallery of all sorts of motorcycle stupidity... I just gave up trying to remove scratches ever since one MC actually left a large scrape.

To top it off, it even happens when I'm stopped on a red light... a seemingly endless stream of MCs squeeze their way in front of me without regard to hitting/scraping my vehicle's bumper.

The time na talagang clear yung highway, i decided na overtake-an siya kahit mag pedal to the metal ako. kaso talagang bumirit lalo. Then unfortunately for him, along the way merong wet or semi flooded pavement (kaka-tapos lang ng ulan sa lugar na yun) kaya napilitan siya mag menor at full stop. Eh sa sobrang inis ko, dahil dun siya sa tabi ng puddle ng tubig huminto, hinirit ko sa tubig kaya splash sa kanya at basang basa ang g*g0 ng tubig at putik, hehe.

Kitang kita mo yung pag iling ng ulo nya, hehe!

haha madalas yan sa intersection ng aurora blvd at edsa, sa ilalim ng mrt..madalas pag maaabutan na ng red light yung mga jeep,talagang ipipilit pa na makatawid sa gitna and then pag hindi makasingit, lawit ang halos buong katawan,and voila!trapikkkk!

Ang sarap batukan yung nagtratraffic/enforcer dun hindi man lang nila sitahin..hayyysss

Halos lahat naman ng mga seryosong kinalabasan ng simpleng traffic incidents eh nagmula sa petty misunderstandings at unnecessary hotheadedness on the roads.

Take the cases of the Hultmanns, Maguan and that All Saint's Day shooting and a lot more unreported cases. Ang tatapang nila when confronting someone they think they can bully with the insunuations of having a gun pero pag nakakulong na, ang a-among mga tupa, sising sisi!

That's why it's very unwise and dangerous to get one's self into an argument with anyone on the road. A seemingly decently-dressed motorist may just be looking for an excuse to let go of the shift lever and shift with his gun instead; some utility drivers keep a tube pipe handy for measuring fuel levels as well as laying on a cut-wound on your forehead for your doctor to measure later.
I saw two taxi drivers wrestling and punching each other beside their stopped vehicles in an Edsa traffic. In front of our shop before, a tall neatly dresed guy got out of his car and repeatedly kicked on the fender of a hapless driver's taxi. Even the responding policeman seemed to be in deference with the rage of the man.

A person inside his car brings in all his outside problems with him. Endless traffics and arrogant drivers do nothing but elevate his frustrations from home, office or sometimes, just a false belief in one-upmanship and an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth..which may leave someone toothless later on!

Dito sa tin where a simple no-meaning glance to a fellow drinking at a nearby table in a bar could get you a spare faucet in the belly, I'd say "mauna ka na sa pupuntahan mo, I'm not that eager to go there with you"!

Then, your simple intention of further scaring him off could suddenly turn into possible homicide/murder, either side, worst case...
