Yep, cooler head preveils at all times. Once you sense the other party is already loosing his cool, its better to giveway rather than to get involved in a heated arguement.

Whats with the traffic for the past 2 days na? Parang december traffic na.

Kanina may car na nag overtake sakin tapos binagalan yung takbo para mang-asar. Mag right kasi ako, malapit na sa school, pag signal ko wala naman nasa likod, bigla na lang lumabas yung car Turns out pareho destination namin. Paglabas niya after mag park isang mataba na 5'3" or something, natawa na lang ako, siya iwas tingin. Kawawa naman, bumabawi lang siguro kasi na-bully nung high school.

It took a lot of effort for me to learn this since my dad (RIP) had quite a temper on the road when i was a kid (not-so-good example íka nga). Yun nga lang, siya, kaya niya panindigan sarili niya pag nagkababaan at umabot ng suntukan and back then, suntukan talaga, walang bakla-baklaan na pakita kuno ng baril (my dad never owned a gun). Twice siya na ospital. Once to stitch his hands from the broken glass and the second to operate on his hand which got infected after the tooth of the driver he punched got embedded on his fist.

Turns out pareho destination namin. Paglabas niya after mag park isang mataba na 5'3" or something, natawa na lang ako, siya iwas tingin. Kawawa naman, bumabawi lang siguro kasi na-bully nung high school.

Another way to avoid road rage. Always remember it's a small world. There's a chance magkakilala or magkikita kayo ng isang driver somewhere, somehow.

Hintayin nga natin yung post ni Volvo driver tsaka si 8 plate Porrrrrsche... mga astig eh. :D

^ yup, it's a small world na talaga kaya much better to avoid stupid and inconsiderate drivers na lang. Bawian na lang sa parking area. wahahaha

A few years back around the same rainy time of year I was driving home passing by a popular public park in Pasig. There was light rain and traffic was light to moderate, no doubt due to the heavy downpour a few hours earlier. I was overtaking tricycles and slow cars at every opportunity as there were enough spaces in between vehicles. As I stopped at traffic at an intersection end of a bridge I noticed from my mirrors that a tricycle was counterflowing. Great I thought, this guy's gonna cut us off in front and then hold traffic to a near halt coz he's so slow.

To my surprise the guy cut me off as the car in front of me started to move. He turned the trike sideways so that his left side was facing my car and got off. The driver, a fat dude walked right up to my window and knocked on it. I lowered the window just enough so I could hear him and he shouted angrily, "Nakikita mo ba ito?" pointing to his chest. I fought the urge to laugh as his finger was pointed to his nipple, which his wet sando failed to cover along with the rest of his man-boobs. OMG I thought, what a wacko. The guy was swearing and all but I was still processing why he was pointing to his boobs so I hardly had time to react. As I looked away I noticed the passenger behind him was also wet, but did have a bit of mud on his pants. Just then I realized I must have splashed the guy as I was passing him so I apologized. The dude was still swearing by the time he walked back to his trike but drove off.

No Right Turn On Red Signal:

Some Makati CBD streets are covered by this rule (not unless the traffic enforcer gives you the "go-signal" to turn even if its still a red light)

Scenario: Intersection near Makati Med. We were the first car (about to turn right) on the right outer most lane waiting for the light to go green. A light van was honking his horn like mad to our rear as if telling us to make the turn so he can drive thru!

When the light went green, he overtook and cut in front of our car, stopped and went out. Shouting dirty words, and pointing at us. "nagmamadali ako P-I nyo! pupunta pa ako ng city hall P-I nyo! alam nyo ba kung sino ako?"

With that, we promptly got out of the car and confronted him. I'm 5'8 180 lbs, my 3 cousins who were riding with me at that time average at 200 lbs, and the smallest was also 5'8. By the way, my car was tinted "garbage bag black" so he can't see anyone inside!

You should have seen the look on the guy's face! Hindi ma-explain ... Kahit yung MAPSA traffic enforcer imbes na magalit ... natawa!

apparently, or for some reason I don't know .. he did not see the sign .. (or was maybe just ignoring it) ..
