AEGIS MALAYSIA TRASHES PHILIPPINES IN LATEST VIDEO AD

MANILA – A video promoting a Business Process Outsourcing company in Malaysia by allegedly attacking the Philippines has sent Facebook to uproar hours after the video was uploaded.

Inadequate Infrastructure, Unfriendly Climate, Less Security, Lack of Government Support are just among the many reasons cited by Aegis Malaysia

The almost 3-minute video allegedly produced by Aegis Malaysia listed many reasons why investing in Malaysia is generally better than in the Philippines. The video noted inadequate infrastructure, unfriendly climate, less security, lack of government support and the country’s very geographic location (being in the Pacific Ring of Fire) as among its reasons.

Netizens described the ad as “offensive,” “unethical,” “racist” and “worst marketing strategy.”

Inadequate Infrastructure - Correct but who cares when your just talking over the phone ?
Unfriendly Climate - We have challenging climate not unfriendly while they live and breath the same thing daily and predictably so much so that when the smogs of Indonesia enter's their territory, they start crying like their dying.
Less Security- we have more security guards than all them.
Lack of Government Support - we learn to stand on our own as we cannot rely on our goverment while they are always like babies very dependent on what goverment say & tell them to do.

It they want to sell, they talk on their own merit not such an unethical manner. Well their not even known for ethics to begin with.

VIDEO: FU Aegis BPO, Malaysia is NOT better than the Philippines

It's sad a global BPO company like Aegis feels that the only way to win its businesses from the Philippines is by talking sh*t about us.

Wait, it's not just sad—it's despicable, underhanded and nakakainit ng ulo.

On September 2, the global outsourcing and technology company posted a video to their AegisOnline account on YouTube. The title: "Aegis: Spearheading Malaysia's 'Developed Economy' Drive." It got 3,087 views before it was removed by the user (check out the image above).

What was the video about? It raises five points why doing business in Malaysia is better than the Philippines:

1. Inadequate infrastructure
2. Unfriendly climate for smooth operations
3. Less security
4. Lack of government support
5. It falls in the environmental "ring of fire" making it prone to natural disasters


We don't know what sh*t Aegis went through while they had an office here in the Philippines. What we know is that Aegis holding company, Essar in India, sold Aegis' US, Philippines and Costa Rica operations to Paris-based rival Teleperformance SA for US$610 million in July.

Aegis no longer operates in the Philippines, but it is still in Malaysia, among other territories.

"Aegis always stated as fact that PH was the single biggest contributor to their revenue globally and has helped the company stay afloat. I should know as i was one of their AVPs and have attended a number of their management planning and review sessions all over Asia," says a former Aegis employee who now says he will remove that employment history from his resumé.

Watch the video—but before you get angry know that this was produced by a private company and not by the government of Malaysia.

Remember, the Philippines used to be the sick man of Asia, mainly due to how Mr. Marcos dragged us down during his regime. We are lucky to be members of a resurgent Philippines; in sports, business, people, as a nation we are being noticed. For some reason, Malaysia has never been open to Filipinos & has always looked down on us, unlike other counties like Thailand, Vietnam & others who have high regards for Filipino talent. It may be because they are cautious of the fact that we are on an upswing & they are on a plateau. It may also be because we, like they, are of Malay roots. We don't even have to comment on Aegis, nor file anynsort of protest. It will just be seen internationally as sougraping.
