    Recently, saw a ...

1.) 2007-08 FD Civic 2.0 S-L Pearl white (the most expensive Civic variant money can buy from HCPI - why not get the 1.8V or 1.8S instead?).
    2.) a 2008 blue E150 (pre-facelift 2009), (why not get a Hi-Ace commuter instead?)
3.) two 2009-09 Chrysler Town & Country (black and silver), (why not get a Kia Carnival, if you are really hell bent on a minivan?).
4.) black Chrysler 300C, (just get a Camry 2.4G instead or even an Altis 1.6E or G is fine)
5.) two 2007-08 Ford Focus TDCi M/T, etc...belongs to the National Statistics Office * Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. (sheesh just get a Hyundai Accent, if your office really need a diesel compact car).
    6.) 2007-08 Ford Everest 4x4 (olive green w/two tone beige) + Blue 4x2.
7.) Several Innova V variants - Innova E or J would suffice, what the heck are those captain chair leather upholstered seats for, thy majesty's comfort?

all in red rizal plates (meaning purchased and owned by gov't agencies-using TAXPAYER'S MONEY). It would be nice to put a sign on these vehicles that says "This is where your taxes go".

I don't think these people really need the kind of vehicles they purchased. What an ostentatious display of corruption, abuse of power, greed, selfishness, waste, etc...

They should just buy Hyundai Accents, Toyota Vios, Innova, Hilux, Strada, etc.... No need to buy gas guzzling luxury cars.

you will see such things on the road simply because there is no real checks and balances on where your taxes money goes in the government. Even the people working in media is corrupted. Many years ago, I remember reading somewhere that over 50% of your taxes actually goes into the pockets of someone in government.

That would be the day when our government would lead by example, but judging from the looks of it this is far fetched. People in general flaunt their influence and properties, same is true with motor vehicles, look at the people who have escorts and have sirens (high end SUV's), so it's not surprising that the government would go for the top of the line models than settle for the common "masa" cars.

So whats new? Remember several years ago when NAPOCOR decided to buy a fleet of Pajeros to be used as service vehicles when there were a lot of less expensive alternatives? I remember NAPOCOR was being criticized for it.

dito palang sa subdivision namin at sa kapit subd you will see:

09 Starex VGT's (escort vehicles palang mga eto may mga wang-wang pa!)
Fortuners, mag sawa mga mata nyo. Hilux
    08 Trailblazer
    New model Expedition and Everest
    Alterra
The new Montero, Pajero and Outlander
    Nissan Navara and Patrol
    Santa Fe
    300C
    BMW 3 Series

Gosh, none of these vehicles are even below the P1.1 mil mark.
I'm paying a 7 digit figure in annual taxes and these are the hogs I see who are stealing our hard earned money?!? I don't even know why the govt doesn't regulate on the type of vehicles they should be driving. Wala man lang base model. Sometimes I see them parked inside the mall at opening hours. Makes you wonder what they're conducting there?

Our Government's ILL Fitting Choice of Vehicles
