only in the philippines:
where counterflowing vehicles have the right of way ...
where kids with "student's permits" think it's as good as a driver's license ...
where bodyguards driving big SUVs are more reckless than ambulance drivers ...

Only in the philippines where the yellow light is not considered as "caution : prepare to stop" but as "go faster". Kahit sa China, they follow it as "caution : prepare to stop" even when chinese are considered as worlds worst drivers.
Only in the Philippines where cars with no plates can do whatever they want.
Only in the Pilippines:
...does the "keep intersection open" become meaningless..it's wasted paint on the pavement.
...do pedestrians interpret the GREEN LEFT TURN lights as the "WALK" light.
...when you're in the right most lane and the LEFT TURN lights turn green, it's okay to CUT OFF the cars who patiently queued up on the left lane.
...it's okay to create a new lane between the left lane and the middle lane if you don't want to queue up to turn left.
...it's the norm to ONLY try to find your parking ticket and look for the correct payment when you're already at the parking booth.
...where the rule, "OKAY LANG MANG ABALA, HUWAG LANG AKO MAABALA" is the norm.
Everything above works: except the following:
Only in the Philippines can you get an official license without taking an exam. Indian drivers can get fake licenses just fine.
Only in the Philippines can you go out all day without wearing a shirt? In the US, some people get away with not wearing pants either. P.S.: Hello? The beach is five miles that way. Put on some clothes, mister... not you, young lady... I like the view.
Only in the Philippines can you get hit by a train not because you were ignoring the crossing lights, but because there were none in the first place.
Only in the Philippines do motorists live in fear of men riding dinky little scooters.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
it's only in the philippines where a politician builds a billboard saying that this project is
his/hers, when in fact he/she is using the taxpayers' money for the project.
mabusina din tao sa india. kahit 12 midnight na at napakaluwag na ng traffic flow, bumubusina pa rin sila. sabi nng mga employees sa office naman dun, "honking is a way of life" for them.
...where a 2 lane street becomes a 3 lane street event though there are street stripes.
...where a 2 lane street becomes a 1 lane street because people park at one side.
and
...where a 2 lane street sometimes become a zigzag road because stupid people park either side alternately.
damn. i love this country!!!

isa pa. tail lights were designed to serve a purpose. red for park light and stop, yellow for signal, white for reverse. some IDIOT drivers change it to all white lens pati bulbs all white. sakit sa mata! it was banned years ago pero walang nangyari.
It's only in the provinces of the Philippines where a funeral procession can pass ON FOOT along the national highway, blissfully ignorant of how their snail's pace is inconveniencing the motorists lined up behind them.
Aaargh, kailan kaya mawawala ang "last trip" na yan sa mindset ng mga Pinoy?
hindi na mawawala iyan. tradition will never die. dito pa sa pilipinas?Originally Posted by mikey177
