At least the mayors had more common sense for not allowing that scheme. I just hate those buses considering I got bumped by a bus last night at a checkpoint and my other car got hit by a bus a few months ago. Very arrogant drivers as if they have money to pay when they hit you but all you get is reasoning and head scratches and asking to pity them coz they're poor.

Even at the back of SM Fairview. The road turns right coming from Novaliches Bayan and turns left coming from Regalado Hiway, they load and unload perpendicular to the road blocking your way.

Oh well at least the tables have turned and balls are against their side. Let's hope they would really enforce disciplining those drivers and crack down and impound those colorum buses, chop the them up and make them environment friendly and throw in the ocean and become artificial coral reefs to house fishes or melt them and put those melted metal into good use, if they wanna include the driver that's so much better, other than polluting our environment and clogging our roads.

buti naman hindi na matutuloy odd even na yan. heard sa news na isasama na lang buses sa coding na existing ngayon. IMO this is a better solution than odd even. at least mababawasan yung mga bus. its not the greatest idea but its a start.

bus operator are again complaining na mababawasan lang daw ng around 600 per day yung mga buses and the real problem is the private users that has a ratio of 1:10 (bus:private).

common sense lang naman yan... lahat naman ng lugar na nagtratraffic eh yun babaan at sakayan ng mga bus... so pano paluluwagin ang edsa? disiplinahin ang mga bus na yan....

If they're claiming that the ratio is 1 bus is to 10 to cars, private car owners should claim that all it needs is to take 1 inconsiderate and reckless bus driver to stop a whole lane or sometimes 2 to 3 lanes when they swerve, load and unload.

Somebody should tell that bus operator that a single bus is over 3 or 4 times bigger than the average car. Bumenta na yang argumento na yan, sobra.

Suppose that 1:10 bus private ratio is true. It will be reduced to 1:5 bus private ratio. Why? Because 2 cars fill 1 bus length.

Sana maimplement nga ng maayos ang number coding sa bus...

lucky if they only use 3 lanes to overtake each other, have seen a bus at pioneer coming form the outer most lane swerves left towards the inner most lane ...5 lanes. blocks edsa then swerves back to the outer most lane 5 lanes again!!!! and what does the MMDA do??? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and if the mmda really wants to do their job don't they see the buses at guadalupe its just a few meters away from their office can't they see what's happening there????

Well, for now its enough that the Metro Manila Council rejected this hare-brained idea of MMDA Chairman Tolentino (who I think should still be fired outright). Instead, a committee was formed in order to study how to improve the traffic situation in the metro.

Item one on the "To-Do List" should be to fire Tolentino and re-hire Oscar Inocentes. Second would be to impound and destroy all colorum buses and FXses (turn them into artificial reefs if you have to). Third would be to revoke all business permits issued to provinical bus terminals within the metro. Fourth should be the massive (and I mean 200-500% increase) in penalties for offenses such as obstruction of traffic, counterflowing, smoke belching, improper loading and unloading, etc. The penalties should be higher for these holders of "professional drivers licenses" aka PUV drivers. Fifth should be the designation of a motorcycle lane (which means that motorcycle riders who stray from it should be apprehended and fined).
