We recently bought a 3D spin dryer from SM City North EDSA. After a few weeks, it would neither spin nor dry.

So we call up the 3D service guys (Northern Islands Co., Inc.). The unit was paid for by credit card and the receipt was lost. So we requested for a warranty certification from SM North EDSA (where the unit's records are). However, before we got hold of the certificate, the NICI guy comes over to check the unit. Since we do not have the certificate yet, we are forced to pay for the service fee which should have been refunded when we present the certificate.

However, when we got the certification (a day or two after), ayaw na ibalik yung service fee na siningil sa amin! The technician returned today to replace the faulty part (the motor) but did not bring our refund.

I called up NICI and the one who answered ('Shirley') said that they have forwarded the money to accounting and that they cannot get it anymore.

Let's just put it this way, siguro if they refund the service fee pwede akong kumuha ng lighter at sindihan sa harap nila. It's not really about the money, I'm just surprised they practice business like this.

Pucha ibabalik din pala. Gusto lang ng death threat.

Pinainit pa ulo ko. I won't be doing business with these guys again.

hehehehe, siempre death threat ba naman. hehe

Anyway, it's all good na ibinalik nila. I asked how much because yung tita ko nagbayad din, 500. We're not sure kung universal rate ba yon or what, pero yung kanya out of warranty na daw kasi lagpas 1yr na.

3D used to be a very good household brand here. Not sure what happened. If I were the owner, I'd fire all employees then hire fresh bloods.

Partly sir, resposibility nyo rin kasi yung receipt ng mga appliances, it wouldn't have reached that situation if the receipt was not lost....What I do is tape the receipt sa operating manuals ng appliances na binili...and we have a specific bag na lagayan ng mga operating manuals, service records, waranty cards ng mga gamit namin dito.

Hindi kasi tayo tulad ng first world countries na efficient sa ganyang after sales service....who knows maybe pag mayroon kang sariling negosyo, e ipauso mo ang ganito ka-efficient ng after sales service.

    Peace.
