Guys, I'm really not up-to-date with the new rules on the road especially on this one. Base sa search ko na-suspend daw ito? I'm not sure though. Kaka-release lang kasi ng car ko and unfortunately, di pa namin nakukuha yung ORCR. Just making sure para iwas violation

Ang alam ko matagal nang batas yan. Kung expired registration, bawal na, yun sa kayang walang OR/CR.

The fine is Php 110k, so drive at your own risk.

i don't think it is that big. the penalties under RA 4136 are not amended yet.

Section 56. Penalty for violation. - The following penalties shall be imposed for violations of this Act:
    (a) For registering later than seven days after acquiring title to an unregistered motor vehicle or after conversion of a registered motor vehicle requiring larger registration fee than that for which it was originally registered, or for renewal of a delinquent registration, the penalty shall be a fine fifty per cent of the registration fees corresponding to the portion of the year for which the vehicle is registered for use.
    (b) For failure to sign driver's license or to carry same while driving, twenty pesos fine.
    (c) Driving a vehicle with a delinquent or invalid driver's license, fifty pesos fine.
    (d) Driving a motor vehicle with delinquent, suspended or invalid registration, or without registration or without the proper license plate for the current year, three hundred pesos fine.
    (e) Driving a motor vehicle without first securing a driver's license, three hundred pesos fine.

You are taking a gamble everytime you go out without or/cr because technically speaking your vehicle is not yet registered.Better wait for your or/cr muna for your peace of mind...around 15 days din daw sabi ng SA ko sa akin.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Di ko pa naman dindrive around yung car other than from its release. Buti nalang nagtanong muna ako dito hehe. Question, gaano ba katagal talaga magrelease ng ORCR? Base from my SA, 1 month pa daw.

Pero if you have the complete documents and sayo lang talaga aasikasuhin ng dealership baka matagal na ang 3 days.

What do you mean by "complete" documents? If may mga documents lang pala na need ipasa para mas mapabilis ang process then I'll pass it asap.

I think what he means is given complete documents (those required by LTO) and yun sa iyo lang ang lalakarin, mabilis lang ang processing. It doesn't mean na may documents na kailangan submit to hasten the process.

What he also means is that it is customary for the dealers para ipunin ang mga LTO registration documents para 1 time lang ang pagpunta sa LTO and to save on "processing" fee nila.

If you're in a hurry, you can ask your dealer (if they will allow it) na ikaw na ang mag-submit sa LTO and magprocess ng documents mo. Im not sure if it will be faster but at least alam mo ang galaw ng documents mo.

Thanks for your feedback! I'll ask my SA if he can just give me the documents. Mas better na yun. Like what you said, I can keep on track sa processing of ganun yung gagawin ko. [emoji3] Hopefully he can allow me to do it. If not, most probably kukulitin ko nalang SA ko. Haha

Don't go this route, let your SA handle this, there's a lot of documents LTO will ask from you that will take time for casa to provide. Its only a 2-3 weeks wait, why rush.

Got our OR/CR almost a month after the car was delivered due to the ASEAN and other holidays. Car was delivered Nov 10, CR was dated Nov 23, received a copy Dec 6. Onting pasensya lang dadating din yan.

    Hi guys,

Question po regarding sa OR/CR. Nakuha namin yung sasakyan from the dealership on Nov 30. After a week na di pa nase-send yung OR/CR samin, kinulit ko yung agent kung kelan namin sya makukuha. And today, our agent informed us na meron na nga raw OR/CR so I asked her to send me a copy. So she sent me a copy thru Viber of the OR/CR which looked legit naman. However, walang nakasulat na Plate Number on both documents. Normal lang ba to? Can I assume na yung plate number ko na ay yung nakakabit dun sa sasakyan when it got released?

    Thanks!

In simplified terms, the conduction sticker was intended to be a “pass” so you can take your vehicle home (within 7 days from turn over of unit) from the dealership. Until you get your OR/CR, you have no “right to use the car on the road” and in case anything happens, (knock wood) you will be at disadvantage. Authorities can impound the car however, only after 37 days have passed from turn over (usually on the date on the sales invoice) and the car remains unregistered.

Depende yan sa risk tolerance mo, but I would suggest as other members have advised and to avoid using the vehicle in the meantime. Mabilis lang lumipas ang 1-2 weeks (I don’t know lang how long ang process outside outside of NCR ha?) Turn mo naman mangulit sa SA mo (after ka niya kulitin to get the sale).

Can't find any updated thread, is this still in force? The SA told me that it has been revoked already and that I can use the car while waiting for a month for the OR CR?
