i don't get this? e bakit pa sila nag coat ng asphalt on top of cement on their roads? hindi ba mas ok asphalt kasi medyo porous siya compared sa cement? so nag se seep in kahit papaano yung tubig na nasa surface.

It boils down to the design of the pavement itself. Does the road have a banking angle so that water could run-off to the side pavement so that water wouldn't settle on the middle of the road?

I was able to experience riding in the autobahn with my cousin, every few kilometers may nakita akong pond. My cousin told me that the road is tilted to some degree & those pond collects the water from the highway to avoid hydro-planing.

OT: They drive really fast - nanginginig ang tuhod ko.

yes. it once discussed on my class, back when i used be an engineering student. the road is bank to the right so that the water seeps down the drainage. plus, the traction it has som advantages since the tires are perpendicular to the road.

as for the cement underneath the blacktop, number one na kalaban ng bitumens ang tubig. while on the cement, the opposite is true. so kaya may concrete para matibay at kung mabasa man yung lupa, trap na agad ng cement before umabot sa asphalt.

haven't driven a vehicle with a worn tires. kadalasan talaga, before pa ma-kalbo may nangyayaring kakaiba- bumubukol, napupunit ang sidewall.hay naku.

wala lang. share ko lang insights ko. :D

Had an experience before on SLEX, this Merc C series doing like 80-100kph on a heavy downpour, daming tumalsik na tubig sa windshield ko had to slow down because I couldn't see a thing
