kahapon lang uli ako nakapag-highway driving. in fairness, ang laki ng improvement ng road quality sa nlex. kaya nga lang, when they added more lanes to both the northbound and southbound lanes, the 2 opposite lanes are now merely separated by concrete barriers, these are the ones we normally see on the u-turn slots all over metro manila. i personally think that the height of each barrier is not enough because at night, if you drive on the fast lane, hence leftmost lane, all the headlight glare from the opposite vehicles on the fastlane is really blinding. i hope hindi ito yung permanent barrier na gagamitin at palitan ng mas mataas na bakod to shield drivers on opposite sides from the headlight glares. ;)

pero reasonable naman - considering the level of quality that they've put in there.

but what pisses me off is that they will install imbedded speed traps and monitor your average speed to deter speeders.

but what about those slowpokes who can't manage to run 60kph? and they are the ones hogging the passing lane.

The increase when the construction is all over is more like 600%... and that's just adjusting for inflation daw... so after this, may additional increases pa yata...

As usual bus operators will file a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), and have it bring down by a couple of centavo per kilometer.

Yung latest balita nga is that slightly lower yung rates per kilometer nung provincial buses, pero slightly higher ngayon yung sa private vehicles to compensate for the loss of revenue sa public vehicles.

    Pare, kumporme ako dyan, hehehe.

I use the North Luzon tollways almost everyday for 5 years. Alam ko ang condition ng tollways before the reconstruction. 4-lane highway now compared to only 2 before, dilapidated pa and terribly dangerous kung uulan.

I experienced the many highs and lows of that highway, including the first traffic standstill during reconstruction which lasted for almost 8-hours due to flood. If you only use the NLEX once in a while you'll probably not appreciate the improvements.

It's only fair na bumawi naman yung investors for the benefit they invested.
