It's under the MAKATI TRAFFIC ORDINANCE Article 18 section 137 which was newly amended (not publicly announced) to include colored plate covers as illegal equal to tinted plate covers and using illegal commemorative plates.

colored naman pala plate cover mo bro, labag talaga sa batas yan. kahit saang korte pa kayo umabot. kung clear sana ang plate mo at hinuli ka pa, baka may laban pa. kahit pa sabihin na nababasa naman, compared sa clear or no cover, viewed at a distance at sa gabi, malaki difference.

violation mo rin ba yong "using illegal commemorative plates" (though wala namna ako nakitang comm plate sa pic) o quoted lang sa ordinance? baka kasi kasama na yong penalty dun sa P2500.

Okay sa Makati kasi madidisiplina talaga mga drivers.

Nahuli na rin ako nyan, tinted plates. My plate covers were naturally tinted glass, sobrang linaw pero it's not water clear kaya yun.. Learned my lesson ever since.

matagal nang batas ito eh. people just ignore them. readable man o hindi,
basta tinted - BAWAL.
if you still want to cover them plates, use the clear ones. i do.
please learn from your mistake(s).

brother hindi naman tinted yung plate cover ko at isa pa kakarehistro ng sasakyan ko (september lang b4 the incident) at na-check ng LTO yung plate covers ni hindi nila pinatanggal. Isa pa how the hell am I going to Mandaluyong if I don't pass by Makati from Pasay?!?!?!

Manghuli sila yung mga taga-makati or nagtatrabaho sa Makati. Malay ba ng passers-by na bawal pala kahit colored plate covers ni hindi nila ipina-publicize ordinances nila. They should first give warning to passersby muna.

You have a very good point on that Jim, ang bawal sa Makati ay maaring hindi bawal sa lugar kung saan mo gamit ang car. Lesson learn is kung may protector ang plates mo, iwasan ang Makati!

1200 pesos na plate protector VS 2500 na fine plus abala? hmmmmmm
