I still do not understand the logic behind this

Its too freaking confusing and often times very dangerous!

Why don't they just close the traffic lights first before directing traffic that's not in synch with the lights?

Why don't they wear vissible gloves (in daytime) and glowing instruments (at night) when doing this?

I'm sure most will agree that they just make traffic worse in doing this most of the time

Will they serve as "start witness" for those that obey them if the later figure in an accident with another that obey the lights?

Hay... Pinas!!!

Agree with you bro. sgt_taga,- if they want a manual override (them directing the traffic at the intersection),- then turn off that f....... traffic light!
(Hindi mo alam kung sino ang susundin)...

    oo bro cvt. sobrang nakakalito.

i almost saw an accident dati kase me kotse na sumunod sa green niya while yung jeep naman eh biglang umandar sa ka-T intersection niya.

i totally agree with this. turn-off the traffic lights if they want to do it manually kasi nakakalito.

kaya pag naka GO then hindi umaandar mga kotse, for sure me nag ma manual traffic na mmda/traffic enforcer sa harap.

kase ayaw ipa-go nung nagta-trapik kahit na green na yung papuntang new world

di ko ma-get kung bakit ginawa yun eh maluwag naman yung intersection at wala naman mahabang build up in all directions

parang nag-trip lang yata yung mga mokong

i could just hear the cursing of those who'd be late in their work at 9am

it was really just a normal stop and go on that intersection at that time (cause i happen to pass by)

why those "enforcers" decided to intervene is beyond logic talaga

.. Paano, yung katabi nyang MAPSA sumisenyas ng GO ... tapos sya STOP! (intersection of Ayala and HV dela Costa/Salcedo)

Sarap pag-untugin yung dalawang yun ..

    Ayoko na ma-highblood ....... Friday ngayon! ...

In this case, yung traffic enforcer.

Pero yeah, you're right.

tapos bigla akong pinahinto nung mokong after a couple of meters of advancing.

di pa daw kase di pa daw niya kami pinapa-turn.

Our Traffic Enforcers need to go back and take a course in Traffic Enforcement. Anlalabo nila!

It's ok, IMO, for them to take over an intersection and direct traffic manually if the situation warrants it. Some traffic light settings/timing are out of this world. But to reduce confusion, they should really turn off the traffic lights if they mean to direct traffic. They should also wear the proper reflective gear/ gloves so that they are better seen especially at night.

That's the main problem with a lot of the confusion, they don't turn off the traffic lights. In Makati, some enforcers (lalo na kung barangay) tend to favor certain lanes as well, causing a big back-up on other lanes. On Kalayaan after coming down from the Buendia - Fort flyover), the traffic there is always bad because of the parked cars/jeeps/trikes belonging to voting Makati residents (these are never towed unlike in CBD) and the tanod enforcer who gives priority to the tricycles coming from the side street instead of the cars on the main road.

A lot of them probably don't drive or ride private vehicles really so they dont understand the position and situation of the car and the driver.
