I bought my car Sept. 2005. The plate is ending 1 and sticker on the plate is 2005 2006 2007. So technically dapat Sept. 2008 mag-expired ang rehistro. We pay 3 years registration so dapat Sept. 2008 pa mag expire. The dealer as charge me an extra 1K for additional LTO to cover the months between Sept 2008 and Jan 2009 kasi 1 and ending ng plate ko. Today a Mapsa Police was saying I have expired registration. Ano ba ang tama? Ang tagal namin nagtalo kasi ayoko talaga magpahuli kasi kaya nga tayo nagbabayad ng 3 years na registration tapos huhulihin tayo.

But I paid 3 years registration. 3 years from Sept 2005 is Sept 2008. Parang lugi ata tayo. Parang mali yung math nila.

Ignorance excuses no one. Your registration is only valid up to January 2008. Had you chose not to change the month of registration or simply got a 9 as ending, then that is for 3 years flat. Otherwise, you will have to go back to your dealership and pay some participation to make it 1 year again. That is from January 08-January 09. In this case, tama si Mr. MAPSA.

Sir san dealer po ba yan? Bakit hiningan kapa ng 1k for the extra to cover to sep 2008 to jan 2009.

unless you requested for the 1 ending, ganun talaga dahil covered pa ng year '05 yun. in my case, we acquired the vehicle nov of '01 and the SA insisted na pili daw ako sa 3 or 7. sabi ko hindi, dahil 7 na yung ending ng isa naming car. ang gusto ko eh 0 not telling her na "para di naman ako lugi sa registro" pumayag naman so october of the following year pa ko sumagot ng renewal.

Ako ang mali or mali ang pag paliwanag sa akin ng dealeror when I got my plates. Even if I paid 3.5 years in my initial registration ( indicated in the O.R. under MVUCC daw) I still need to bring my car for registration. Now I have to shell out late registration penalty 1k ata. Ganun talaga **** happens. Thanks to all who shared their views. Hope people who read the thread learn something from my mistake.

    cheers,
    paul1

definitely mali ang paliwanag sa iyo. And i doubt na 3.5 yrs ang mvuc mo. walang ganun. Check mo, ang mvuc ng car is 2k per year regardless sa fractions.
