*LTFRB invites netizens, public to become Citizen Enforcer *

*Board uses social media networking site to provide *
*public an avenue to report complaints of erring PUV/PUB drivers*

*Manila, Philippines - *Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory
Board (LTFRB) chairman Atty. Winston Ginez is encouraging all vigilant
netizens and the riding public to participate in ensuring safe, convenient,
reliable and dependable land transportation nationwide by volunteering to
become LTFRB citizen enforcer through a new social media networking site
recently created by the Board.

Ginez said the Board decided to create a new Facebook account under the
name 'LTFRB Citizen Enforcer' to allow the public and the growing number of
local netizens report erring PUV/PUB drivers and operator who are violating
transportation rules and regulations that put the public at risk or
inconvenience.

"Everyone is welcome to post complaints, pictures and videos of drivers
and/or operators of taxis, utility vehicles (UVs), jeepneys, buses, trucks
for hire, shuttle and tourist buses, and other PUVs through our Citizen
Enforcer Facebook account," Ginez said.

Since the new LTFRB Facebook account was created a week ago, more than a
hundred netizens have liked the page.

Several concerned citizens also posted varied and positive comments
acknowledging LTFRB chairman's good intention of enticing the public to be
part of the government's mission of ensuring adequate, safe, convenient,
environment-friendly, and dependable public land transportation services at
reasonable rates.

"We will swiftly act on complaints posted on the (social media networking)
site," Ginez stressed.

He added that commendations for good deeds of PUB/PUV drivers can be also
be posted in the site to serve as model for other drivers.
