Ang problema ng ganyan is how dark tint is interpreted.

Iba-iba law per state, may ok sa Cali na hindi pwede sa NY and so on. Pag nakita ka ng state trooper or po-po na madilim tint mo, they will stop you, get there VLT instrument to measure your tint and can penalize you with jail time, felony and several thousand dollars for violation. Main reason of US for dark tints esp on the windshield and front side windows? Police safety.

Kainis!

Dito ningas-cogon ang nangyayari sa implementation....sa first few weeks aggresive then later on wala na. Sana consistent ang implementation and no exceptions.

i agree with you, how would they define heavily tinted?

Grabe talaga!

AFAIK, by mid-October pa sisimulang amyendayan yung 1978 law so baka by end of October, implemented na ito. If I'm not mistaken, may mga exemptions for people who have security threats provided that they can show proof na may threats talaga sa buhay nila at ng family nila. Also, I think the media, the politicos, the military and top policemen might be granted exemtions.

Pero I can't help think na this would be another avenue for corruption.

Naku, mukhang ningas cogon na naman to. They'll try to make money with the first wave of apprehensions and then eventually forget about it when they've gotten enough.

And as to the definition and implementation, that's another big question mark. What is the definition of "heavily tinted". Is it because you have super dark tint, you are heavily tinted? Are you exempted because you are using dark magic, so maliwanag at kita mo yung palabas, thus hindi "heavily tinted"? Pero pag naarawan, dahil magic, di mo kita yung loob? And who is qualified to say that a vehicle is "heavily tinted"? The apprehending officer with questionable eyesight, depending on the (meal) time of day? The same officer who can't tell a smoke belcher if he saw one, coz he looks in the opposite direction?!
