    We were eating dinner kanina at Shakey's Q. Ave. May jeep na nag stop, may old lady na bumaba. Nag daw tetext yung driver ng jeep na nasa likod. Nabanga niya yung jeep, sira rear bumber. Yung lady naipit. Hindi na ko masyado lumapit kasi sabi ng guard naputol daw yung legs. May police agad na dumating, sinakay yung driver sa mobile. 30 minutes na nakahiga yung lady, wala parin yung ambulance. So ginawa ng police, sinakay na lang nila sa jeep since less than 1km away lang naman yung Capitol Med. After about 5 minutes, dun lang dumating yung ambulance.

    Naku, diba dapat hindi ginagalaw yan kapag malubha na ang conditions? Kawawa naman yung matanda.

    Head trauma, don't move... But if the patient is bleeding to death, either stop the bleeding or get them to the hospital quick.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    kapag mga extremeties lang injury pwede naman galawin lalot na may bleeding,(pero hanggat maari dapat immobilize yung injured body parts and stop the bleeding by putting pressure sa bleeding site then takbo na sa ospital)...
    pero pag head, spinal injury no no talaga galawin, wait nalang mga medics...
    best mo gawin is to secure the area and ask the victim, lapitan mo hey hey are you okay? then call for help na hehe,( make sure na safe na area bago maki usyoso) ..

    tama ba Doc Otep?

    Personal injury accidents by jeepney is by it's own bad design. The passengers board and get off in the middle of the road by virtue of the design of the jeepney's passenger access. In other countries, they have changed to having the passenger door at the side of the vehicle. Indonesia is one example.

    this is a sign folks na be extra-careful out there. kung sa simpleng candybar phone eh papatay yan mga yan, pano pag naka-touchscreen sila, may mga cherry mobile and samsungs na less than 4k na touch screen, they will attempt to text while driving and therefore expect potential higher incidences of na ganito accident.

    That would be a good idea, GH, for any plans on evolving the jeepney.

    Have not yet read the thread. But if you cannot rule out a spinal injury (sometimes due to the fall that comes after the crash), keep the patient immobile on thr ground. Concentrate on giving airway, breathing, amd circulation (control bleeding). Do not lift like a hog and throw into jeep.

    Keep emergency numbers on hand. Q.C. DPOS and Red Cross are just at QC city hall and will respond once called upon. Otherwise, you can call tV5 rescue, untv rescue or abscbn ems and they usually rush like hell in their ambulances to newsworthy items like this.

    Hay nako, texting na naman, nampucha talaga, dapat dyan sa mag nagtetext kinukuha ang lisensya at di na binabalik, para di na makapatay at makadamay ng iba.

    Ha? Anong ikulong. Hindi dapat.

    Gawin dyan pakawalan sa Quezon Ave at dun tumakbo habang hinahabol ng jeep. Pag hindi naputol ang mga paa nya, putulin using an axe then buhusan ng salt.

    Err...a simple do not text while driving would do OB . Kahit touchscreen or qwerty phone, makakaaccident ka if you don't keep your attention on the road... Dadami iyan dahil sa stupidity at di dahil sa phone.
