One of the worse things that can happen to you along wide roads is the tendency of people to avoid using the overpass and try to cross the road. While driving along commonwealth on the way to tandang sora, i was driving around 60-70 kph. i was on the 2nd lane when somebody tried to cross the road. I hit the horn to warn him but then he made the motion of trying to run into the 3rd lane so i swerved to the first lane but then he suddenly tried to backtrack to the first lane so i nearly hit him anyway. I was prepared to hear the sound of somebody hitting the car but luckily he stopped backtracking.
I hope he learns his lesson and use the overpass. Not worth risking one's life to save a small amount of effort. Last edited by bender; February 28th, 2004 at 12:47 AM.

What i do is i blow my horn continously medyo malayo pa sa tumatawid. With that motorists are alarmed and other passers by watched these ignorant pipol crossing the street.

February 29th, 2004 09:27 AM #5hmmm...just bear in mind, to some people, then(or their relatives) getting hit by a car is like winning a mini-lotto...remember that story on channel 2 about this "mother" who throws her kids (on purpose) on the paths of unsuspecting drivers?

"tinatamad" is a lousy excuse for jaywalking. it really isn't any different from cheating on an exam kasi "tinatamad". kung tamaan sila ng kotse, i say the driver has every right to sue the jaywalker for damages to his/her vehicle!
hayop din yung mga jaywalkers sa EDSA, lalo na yung malapit sa LRT station at the foot of the Timog-East-Avenue-EDSA flyover near Timog.

grabe yan. ilagay sa dswd yung anak nya. grabe ang pangangailangan nya sa pera. mas mahal pa niya pera kesa anak niya.
