Well, next time just let it be. It could have easily turned bad worse than it did. Ingat na lang bro. Mahirap na i-assert ang right of way. I've been there, done that (which includes Bogeyman's similar experience of being reprimanded by the wife)...

madaling sabihin pero mahirap gawin pero dapat nga cool lang sa kalye.

nway, sana next time wag ka ma-"horrify" sa small scratch na kayang alisin ng rubbing compound. maniwala ka, mas madami pang pwedeng mangyari na mas grabe. and, buti lang lang, sa case mo eh, walng nasaktan.

Some afterthoughts:
1) The incident could have been avoided if I had simply given way, but I know I had the right of way.

Let me share you what I read in reader's digest some years ago. "You may have the right of way but you can be a DEAD right".

Example: Your Crossing an intersection and you have a green light before you. But on the opposite lane you see a fast truck beating the red light.

Question: are you going to risk crashing onto the oncoming truck just because you have the right of way???

yung pag tutok mo, with or without malice sya parin mali dun...

pero remember magkaiba ang 'driving with the right of way' sa 'driving in the right way'... sa culture kasi natin iba yung defenition ng right of way... lalo na yung biglang humawak nalang ng manibela...

I have encoutered a lot of drivers na di marunong na makipag salitan (alternate merging) pag mag merge ang 2 lanes into 1 lane.

Last week sa SLEX, the 3 lane road widened and then divided into 3 different single lanes, in each lane may nakapila ng about 7 vehicles or more na gumagapang. Then there is this AUV and an SUV following it na sumigit sa mga lines then ang pangit ng cut just before the single lanes. Some times talaga parang gusto mong may dalang baril.

Naka encounter na rin ako sa SLEX exiting to C5. Ang ganda na nakapila lahat tapos may sisingit sa mga lines.

Namimili rin naman ng aangasan ang mga yan eh… duruan kung baga… sanayan lang para iwas abala at aksidente makaktapat din yan.
