Mga pare ingat sa Makati area. Particularly at stop lights. Recently I was charged with a violation- wreckless driving daw. I was at pasay road waiting for a green arrow light to turn left, going to greenbelt-1 McDonalds. Since I'm not familiar with makati traffic, I wasn't sure if there is a green arrow light.

I ended up paying the cop on the spot para di kunin license ko. Coz i had to go out of town. I also wasn't able to get the cop's name.

i hope I'm wrong coz I'd hate to think that they have victimized other people who are unfamiliar with the area

Bro, nangyari na sakin yan. although i'm familiar with the traffic light in that area. hinarang ako ng traffic aids. hinintuan ko naman. kaso sila ang pinagalitan ko. at never ko binigay ang lisensya ko.
like what you mentioned, dapat kung may green arrow for GO, meron din dapat red arrow for stop. hindi yung green lang. syempre pag nakita natin yung green going straight at wala namang any sign going left or right. ang tendency is to proceed straight, left or right with caution.

sorry to hear that.. pero what i recall is yun sequence nyan is green with green arrow (meaning pwdeng mag left turn) then mag green na lang then red na sandali tapos green ulit tapos red na matagal.. then ulit ulit yun sequence.... been passing there for years dati..... ganon pa rin pala yun sequence nyan medyo nakaka lito sa mga first time na dumaan dyan.

Yep, tama ito... ngayon yata pundido na yung yellow, hence green+green left arrow, green, then red, then green, then red for a few seconds then green again.

Location: if you are on Makati Avenue heading towards JP Rizal and Mandaluyong, its the first street on the right after Jupiter. this street connects to Polaris and Jupiter, so you can head towards Pasong Tamo and Zobel Roxas ata. no left turn sa Jupiter kasi dba

Yung isang friend ko turned right into this street. One Way pala pero nakatago yung sign ng puno at pasok sa street. before you can see the sign, pasok ka na at huli ka na. She tried to reason out pero nag-insist yung OGAG na MAPSA. Nung sinabing icocontest, which should be her right, aba e dinagdagan pa yung violation! so aside from entering One Way may disregarding traffic signs pa daw! aba e OGAG talaga! yung ibang motorista na nahuli nung time na yun, ayun na alis na

Buti pa sa Marikina kanina I made the mistake of entering a one way street. Wala kasing sign and hindi ako tiga-Marikina.

Instead of apprehending me, one of the enforcers (madami kasi sila) just informed me that it was a one-way street and told me where I should turn to get to the street I wanted to be at.

Don't stop if they have no means to get hold of you anyway. And if it's dark and no one's looking, you may even want to run them over.

Just remember, the Makati MAPSA people have a very good incentive to be vigilant and present at certain "hot-spots". They get around 30% of your penalty as commission.

Downside of this, the MAPSA people tend to prefer to catch "offenders" than to direct traffic flow to prevent congestion.

TIP: Kotong spots are Fire Station, P. Tamo Ext./Vito Cruz Ext., Jupiter and Makati Ave. (Maybe they get bigger commissions on these areas?)
