i won insurance daw

got a call a few months ago, the lady on the line said i won life insurance, i said i don't remember joining a raffle so paano ako nanalo. she said it was sponsored by a creditcard company, so i asked alin card company, she told me sir punta na lang kayo dito sa makati to claim and for your questions to be answered better... di ko pinuntahan. dahil una di ako kumbinsido sa mga sagot nya at 2. di ako nagpupunta ng makati, hirap pumarada ang mahal pa.

a few weeks later a guy called from the same company saying that this time i won trip to boracay on top of the life insurance, again its sponsored by a credit card company which they can't expose over the phone.

now this monday my mom got a call saying she also won life insurance and makati rin ang office na pinapupuntahan, carlos tan daw yung hanapin. and its also from a credit card company.

is this a scam??? have any of you guys ever got life insurance from your card company??? last thing i joined was the M&M sticker contest where you just text the code on the wrapper. i won a mini radio, 2 cd cases and a M&M dispenser... all delivered to me by JRS...

until now di ko pinupuntahan yung mga tumawag, thinking its a scam.

90% scam. baka kulitin/lokohin ka lng kaya pinipilit ka papuntahin.

I've received this kind of calls but just ignored them. Most or all of these are just "come on" call. If you go there, they would offer/sell you something. You can try it so you would know but wag kang basta basta maglabas ng pera.

may tumawag din sa akin nyan mga tatlo beses na nung sinabi ko pumunta na lang sila sa office ko ayaw or papapick up ko na lang hindi daw pwede.

kailanagan daw ako pumunta dun

nyak!!! nanalo pa ako tapos pahihirapan pa ako.

ganun din sa akin, kelangan ako mismo mag pick-up to sign some documents at may picture pa daw to prove to the sponsor that i got the prize...

come to think of it... bakit kelangan pa picture eh nung nag apply ako ng credit card wala naman ako submit na picture... so how will they know ako nga yung kumuha ng prize...scammer nga yun

dati pa ko nakakatanggap ng ganyang mga calls, you won this, you won that, you earned this etc. etc.... katagalan, binabara ko na lang sila... I'll cut them off sa phone and say "sorry I'm not interested" sabay baba ng telepono ng pabagsak.

hehehe, ermats ko pumatol dyan, trip for 2 to hong kong naman. sabi namin magkakapatid sa kanya pustahan bebentahan ka dyan ng kung ano. tigas ulo ayun pumunta. pag dating sa makati binebentahan siya time share sa resort sa bohol worth 500k yata tapos bibigyan siya raffle ticket. sagot daw niya "bohol? buhulin ko kaya dila nyo!" nung nakauwi na sa bahay niloloko namin ang sungit nyehehehehehehe! e ang siste pa naman dyan pag maganda sagot mo o lalo na pumunta ka e sunod2x na yan, identified ka na. sa kamalasan 2 telepono na nasira kakabagsak ng ermats ko ehehehe!

i received the same one a year ago siguro.. sabi it's a tie up promo of HSBC Credit card.. insurance nga daw.. tapos parang sa pacific star pinapupunta.. i inquired sa HSBC Credit card, wala naman daw silang ganong tie up.. so hindi ko pinuntahan..

a friend of mine received the same call and went there.. tapos ayun nga.. parang may seminar daw.. tapos binebentahan din nang kung anong share sa isang resort.. tapos yung insurance.. it's a personal accident insurance worth 5,000 yata.. the one that insurance companies give out for free..

NEVER trust phone calls saying that you won this or that. Isama niyo na yung mga text messages.

If the promo is valid and you won a legitimate prize, they should at least have the courtesy to mail you a notification detailing the specifics, para meron din kayong panghahawakan.

My friend went to claim the so called "insurance" that he won, what they did was give him an insurance policy good for 1 month and tried to sell him some more insurance.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Dito sa UK naglipana din yan ... voice message, text message, maski via snail-mail. Kung iipunin ko lahat ng "napanalunan" namin sa mga raffle na hindi naman kami sumali, estimate ko meron na dapat kaming £11 million (around 1.1 billion pesoses)

went there one time. tie-up daw with HSBC. so when I got there, "nanalo" daw ako ng Insurance but it was worth only 20K. ngyek. tapos eto na: bebentahan ka nila ng insurance pa once you're there...

they get the info from credit card companies.

how come they can get our info from credit card companies... aren't these companies supposed to protect our personal info that we give to them...

now citibank called this afternoon selling me insurance for 500 a month then i'll be covered for upto 4000 a day if i get into an accident any hospital daw, and kahit may health card ka na they will still pay you the 4000 a day... sobrang aggressive citibank...

I can distinctly remember one time I asked them how they got my number. they said na, "'di ba HSBC Credit Card holder ka? Your name among the hundreds of HSBC cardholders showed up as one of the 20 lucky winners when our computer made its raffle... ekek"

they get your contact numbers and call you like crazy. sheesh...

anyway, based on the number of times these people call me up in the office, I can predict na what they're going to say. minsan pa nga they buckle and can't get the scripts they're reading right.

halatang-halata na nga minsan yung script nila.. hehehe... so most of the time, I try to lead them out of the script. (lalo na pag medyo cute and naive ang dating ng voice on the other end)

medyo misleading nga.

hindi naman sinabi sa iyo ang coverage dba? baka P50K coverage lang for 30 days. eh magkano lang yun.

yung sa sideline namin sa pre-need, may mga groups na ganyan ang raket. nakakainis nga kasi nasisira pati kami.

nope. panget boses, bisaya ang punto tigas dila... tapos yung isa pang tumawag inglesero puro mali naman... natatawa na lang ako... pagmay tanong ako parang nagiisip muna ng sagot... buti pa M&M text promo... padala agad ng prize, no questions asked... nag enjoy pa ako sa M&M's
