I didn't even know Hyundais can go that fast. Konti na lang nasa 155mph speed limit na siya ng European sedans.

I was thinking that maybe that Pargo guy should be doing car reviews considering Car and Driver's reviewer did 137 mph while he attained 147 mph. Of course, the tach must've showed rpm's waaaay past the redline and the engine seconds from blowing up.....
galing naman & lots of luck i should say, i wouldn't dare drive a stock car that fast..
Guess this is his last driving mission... cancelled na sigurado ang kanyang driving license.
getting 12 pts on his license!!! aaaaaarrrggghhh that's a lot to recover fromOriginally Posted by Gumusut_Amige

Pangarap niya cguro magkaroon ng land speed record on a stock car..hehe
Parang yung ginawa ko sa suzuki fronte ko napaabot ko ng 130km/h malapit na ang sagad sa gauge ay 140km/h slipping clutch pa..hehehe.![]()

Probably not that close to blowing up. Most 180-200hp cars can go over 130 mph anyway.
As it is, the speed camera may have been off a bit... but 140 mph plus is quite possible with a front-wheel drive V6. That's why most of them have 135 mph speed limiters.
Maybe the cheap rental ones don't have the limiters installed?![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
147 mph.... There's no way even the new V6 Sonata could do that speed. I know because I own one of them mommy-carsOriginally Posted by Syuryuken

Anyway, I'm familiar with that route because it takes me on the shortest road to Nevada. People do fly by that route except when the cops are about. The picture quality of those traffic cameras is nice. My wife was right when she told me not to flip off the camera.

I know Loop 101 from several trips back and forth to Nevada. It's about as hilly as going from Alabang to Cubao.Originally Posted by M54 Powered

Hmm. Damn traffic cameras. Back in '01, I did 120mph on a rental Sebring. Kakatakot na noon, the fabric top sounded like it was gonna rip off.![]()

if it's a M/T mated to the V6... that's possible given clear roads, no head/cross winds, no uphills...
