Sa Ambucare, Aeromed, Metro Rescue and other professional ambulance services MORTAL SIN po ang gumamit ng 4 way flashers/hazard once the vehicle is in motion. In case you see them do so, nasa body naman po ng ambulance yung phone number and you can report to the office right away. The units are still supposed to signal their intention to turn even when running code 3. Dapat full concentration sa task of driving and warning other vehicles ang driver.

Unfortunately, we don't have control over lesser trained units like Barangay or provincial ambulances or those that are run by hospitals. Among the private services, ACE COR ang pinaka mahilig gumamit ng hazard when transporting a patient. I actually wrote them a letter. Hindi ata nila pinansin. And the color alone of their emergency lights (Amber) is dead wrong. Amber is for non-emergency vehicles like heavy equipment and airport vehicles. Hindi siya kulay for ambulances. Green naman is for doctors/medical and purple is for funeral.
