The finder's fee is always from the seller to the agent... not from the buyer, as the price the buyer pays on contract is always assumed to include the finder's fee na.

If the agent had explicitly expressed his intention of getting a finder's fee, then maybe it would have been ok. What's more irritating is he just texts me asking for it while I'm in the middle of examining a patient. Just so happens that the two people I know at Suzuki, knew he had the number of a unit for sale. If he had extended any other form of service other than texting me the number of the owner or facilitating our meeting, maybe he would have gotten his fee also.

Sorry I did not bother to ask the cost of his so called fee as Zukiman had intervened already.

Guys, please remind me to charge you my 'finder's fee' for every PM/SMS/Email/Call I get asking for the number of Mang Mario, 199 Off-road house, Autocamp, Filmar's, Speedyfix, etc. :D hehehe.

FLASH NEWS: The seller just called me a few minutes ago. They already paid for the commission on the unit.

This guy is just trying to do a 'double take'.
Nag-text naman pala siya sa iyo, eh...

I-reimburse mo na lang iyung piso niya...

afaik, it is already becoming a norm for agents to get finder's fee from both the seller and the buyer.

But why? As a middleman, you're entitled to one percentage from the sale... not two... so it should be taken out of the amount of cash passing hands. When you sell a pack of Marlboros, you don't ask Philip Morris for money up front then charge the buyer on the other... you bundle everything together into one transaction.

it's unethical kumuha ng finder's fee from both seller and buyer. sa isang side of the transaction lang dapat(with prior agreement), but then wala naman batas against dun, so kung makapal ang mukha...

though if i am a buyer, and there's an urgent need, i would ask an agent to find me a certain vehicle, bigyan ko na lang sya finder's fee. anak ng tupa sya pag hingi pa sya sa seller pag nakahanap. hehe. turbo does it, kaya nakakahanap sya ng mga muscle cars.. hehe.

    in this case yung seller.

    Doc,

In lieu of cash as finder's fee, mag-offer ka na lang kay agent ng free medical service, starting with an on-the-spot demo of the defibrillator.

:bwahaha:
