Cop, businessman arrested for Enzo Pastor slay

MANILA – The alleged mastermind and the alleged gunman in the killing of car racer Enzo Pastor have been arrested, police said.

The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of Quezon City Police District said businessman Domingo de Guzman III was arrested in Muntinlupa City on Tuesday.

Police said 2 pistols were seized from De Guzman.

Police said the alleged gunman, PO2 Edgar Angel, was arrested last Saturday during a buy-bust operation in Libis, Quezon City.

Angel allegedly revealed that he was paid P100,000 by De Guzman to kill Pastor.

Police are looking into love triangle as the motive behind the killing. Pastor's wife, Dalia, allegedly had an affair with the businessman.

Last June 12, Pastor and his assistant were on their way to Clark for the final leg of the Asian V-8 Championship when they were attacked by 2 motorcycle-riding men along Visayas Avenue corner Congressional Avenue.

Paolo Salazar, assistant of the race car driver, said they were at a stoplight when one of the men who was wearing a mask suddenly approached them and shot Pastor in the head several times.

"Tinambangan lang po. Parang tinambangan lang po. Kasi pagdating sa ano, binaril na po siya," he said.

Pastor, who was the one driving the car at that moment, sustained 3 gunshot wounds in the head and neck.

Salazar was also wounded in the incident

probably true but i seriously doubt that dalia would have an affair with that guy. seriously they should have made sure that the love affair was true before releasing this story. it will do more damage than good to enzo's family.

But i have also read that the father of Enzo, Tom Pastor have admitted to hearing rumors of Dalia having an affair. I personally don't know the wife but i have a friend who once admitted to me to having numerous affairs despite his status as a "brother" in their church. And let us not forget the minister and the married woman who was caught red handed in the motel.

If the love triangle angle is true, then it is highly possible that Dalia was not aware about the guy's intent to kill Enzo.
