true, it's hard to swallow this information and i'm still hoping that none of this is true. their 2 kids had a bright future ahead of them, enzo was already training his eldest to follow his foot steps on the car racing scene. even if the pastor's get custody of the kids the emotional damage on them is just too much that they might grow up being mad at the world. i never saw their kids throw a tantrum parating masiyahin, i doubt it will be like that from now on. yung bunso nila siguro pwede pa since 7 or 8 yrs old pa lang pero yung panganay 10 or 11 na so i'm sure he already understands what's happening right now.

Yes. That will cause massive psychological damage in the the children. The MURDER of a father is enough to cause any child trauma. I can't imagine the damage it will cause knowing that your mother had an affair and was involved in the death of your father. They will be scarred for life.

Can't say I saw any of that coming. (obviously).

An affair I can believe... seven year itch, ika nga. But the assassination? Whoa.

It seems like it. She was only 18 in 2004 when they became a couple. How old is their first born? I read in one of the posts that he's about 10?

Also, she didn't attend college na?
Right after race car driver Enzo Pastor was shot dead near midnight of June 12 this year, the rumor mill started turning. And it turned dizzyingly fast. There were theories, guesses, suspicions--all passed around the motorsports community in muffled conversations, each discussant careful not to directly accuse anyone, especially since the subject was someone dear to the victim.

In the wee hours of June 13, shortly after the murder, a source with access inside Pastor's circle of friends already relayed to me that one of the angles being looked into was the affair of the victim's wife, Dalia Guerrero, with another man. It sounded preposterous at the time--it still does today, to be honest--regardless of all the stories circulating about the wife's, er, dalliances. Having an affair is one thing; having your own husband killed is a kind of crookedness I wasn't prepared to attribute to a sweet-looking mother of two.

And so, when we broke the news on this website, it was simply a narration of collected information. I had pretty much decided that every single thing I'd heard (and would hear) about Dalia from that point until the time Enzo was buried, would never see the light of day on TopGear.com.ph.

    Or so I thought.

Last Tuesday, August 26, Domingo "Sandy" de Guzman III--the man they say Dalia had (or is still having) an affair with--was arrested after the supposed gunman had named him as the mastermind who had paid the total sum of P100,000 to have Pastor eliminated. And then the police announced that they had established the romantic link between de Guzman and Guerrero, and that Guerrero was, in fact, officially a suspect in the case.

As I write this, Guerrero remains at large and is nowhere to be found. To all those who weren't privy to the aforementioned whispers, this came as an absolute shock. Is she or is she not guilty?

I don't know. What I do know is that I interviewed Enzo and Dalia as a very young couple in 2004, when he was 22 years old and she was 18. At the time, I had just been hired by The Manila Times as its motoring editor. Wanting to publish more interesting stories than your usual motoring fare to inject life into my section, I asked the pair if I could feature them in a Valentine's Day special. They enthusiastically agreed.

We did the photo shoot in Bonifacio Global City, near the now-defunct Manila Speedzone karting facility. Below is a verbatim rehash of the interview that came out in my former newspaper in February 2004. The photos you see here were also used for the article. My title for the piece was "Twice As Fast."

Amid the emotional and psychological turmoil that I imagine is now tormenting every person connected to Enzo and Dalia, it might be nice to recall that their relationship started out just like any other would: genuinely affectionate, youthfully innocent, steadfastly hopeful. I read their words now and can't help but feel dispirited. Ten years ago, I would have sworn those two would live blissfully ever after.

The 2004 interview begins after the break.

    * * *

He: 2002 Asian Formula Renault champion. She: a fierce contender in last year's Ford Lynx Cup. Both so young and so in love, 22-year-old Enzo Pastor and 18-year-old Dalia Guerrero are setting ablaze not just the racetrack but virtually every place they promenade in. Five minutes with this playful couple and you're transported all the way back to high school--or college, depending on the first time you had butterflies fluttering in your stomach at the thought of romance.

Showing up for the shoot both in baby blue tees, Enzo, a consular and diplomatic affairs student at the College of Saint Benilde, and Dalia, currently a full-time race car driver, make that quintessential handsome pair. Their combined presence is so pleasantly mushy that you can feel even their cars (Honda Integra for Enzo; Subaru Impreza WRX for Dalia) blushing.

The couple--barely a couple of months into the relationship--is now spending as much time together as they can. They know that when they buckle down to their respective race series later this year, romance might just have to take a back seat. For 2004, Enzo is seriously considering Formula BMW, while Dalia is set to enter production classes at Subic International Raceway and Batangas Racing Circuit.

Sabi ng gunman, sabi daw ng master mind, if it so happened na kasama ang tatay ni enzo sa truck e dapat patayin din. Dodoblehen daw ang agreed amount. Thats crazy!!! If that is true then it means may galit din si dalia sa father in law. Maybe tinotolerate? All speculation at this point

Charges filed vs. Enzo Pastor's widow
Posted on Thursday Aug 28th at 12:38pm

MANILA, Philippines- Charges of parricide and frustrated murder were filed Thursday by the authorities against Dalia Guerrero Pastor for the killing of her own husband, race car driver Enzo Pastor last June.

Police also filed murder and frustrated murder against businessman Domingo "Sandy" de Guzman III and Police Officer 2 Edgar Angel for the race car driver's slaying.

Police tagged Dalia in the killing as they suspect that she and De Guzman have an illicit love affair.

Manhunt operations have been launched for the arrest of Dalia.

First to fall on Tuesday was Angel, who admitted during interrogation that De Guzman paid him P100,000 to kill Pastor.

Angel had detailed how he was contacted by De Guzman for details on Pastor's hit.

Angel said that between 5 and 6 p.m. on June 12, he went to a mall in Magallanes, where he picked up the motorcycle allegedly provided by De Guzman. A .45 caliber automatic was tucked in the motorcycle’s seat.

Angel said he was told that the driver of the van was the target. He was allegedly told that if Pastor was with his father, the older man should also be killed, with the price of the hit to be doubled: “Kung kasama yung tatay, birahin mo. Dodoblehin ko.”

The policeman trailed the van along C5 road, trying but failing to find an opportunity to carry out the hit.

He found the opportunity in Quezon City, at the intersection of Visayas and Congressional avenues.

As Pastor stopped for a red light, Angel got off his motorcycle, walked up to Pastor and opened fire. Moments later, he rang De Guzman, saying: “Tapos na (It’s done).” Angel said he abandoned the motorcycle under the Magallanes flyover before meeting up with De Guzman early the next day along Macapagal Boulevard, where the balance of P50,000 was supposedly paid and the murder weapon returned.

    Story is out in TopGear.

So I guess that what we read in the papers is indeed the truth.

Unless the wife comes out and explains her side of the coin.

I saw the sister of Enzo Pastor comment on FB that the wife is still with Sandy. She said the wife didn't want to spend money in seeking justice for Enzo. It looks like the whole family is against the wife now.

    Eto ba yung Sandy?

NBI and pnp were both pursuing love triangl angle si guess there was some truth to it.

Then last year daw nagsuntukan si pastor and sandy dahil nalaman yun affair.

Sabi pa nun hired killer both the wife and her lover met with him to plan the murder.

Plus yun mga maids nagbigay na rin ng statement about Sa affair ng wife.

    Getting clearer na mukhang totoo.

    Nabasa ko kanina Sa inquirer

I believe in this too. Kung gusto mo malaman buhay ng isang pamilya, ask their helper or driver

I googled about cheating wives, apparently a lot of husbands keep it to themselves and forgive the wife for having an affair. Sabi ng 2 guy friends ko (hiwalay na din) pag ang wife nakapanglalaki na, it's either iiwan yung asawa or uulit ng uulit. Malas na lang talaga pagnakapag asawa ng higad
