buntis is not PWD. PWD means person with disability, di naman disability ang pagiging buntis.and like i said kung ibababa lang din naman yung kasama mo na PWD sa tapat ng entrance might as well park on a regular parking spot to give way to PWDs na walang kasamang driver.
PWD parking slots are designed to cater them. based sa national building code of the philippines, dapat mas "malapad" ang slot nito para sa wheel chair o anumang aparato na dala nila. paano kung driver at PWD lang ang sakay, diba mas convenient kung paparada na sila sa PWD slot then go to their destination "together" rather than dropping the PWD "alone" at the entrance.
Most of the PWD slots here are on a "First come first park" policy OR "The early bird gets the worm" saying. Kudos na lang to them kung maaga sila / nakapagpark sila ng walang guard or harang yung slot.![]()
The parking slot sign should be PWD-D which stand for Person With Disability Driver.
Hindi ba mas convenient sa PWD yung ibaba na lang malapit sa mall entrance and wait for the designated driver to come back after parking the car instead of going together to the parking lot tapos dun din naman sa mall entrance dadalhin yung PWD. Waste of time and energy.
Back to the posted pics, gusto ko ulitin na yung nagpark na yun eh wala naman kasama PWD and nagkataon lang siguro na umiral yung katamaran or pagiging sobrang bibo kaya naisip nya na dun na lang magpark. Being not disabled, dapat bigay mo na lang yung slot sa "mas nangangailangan" tulad nung mga naka-saklay na driver or senior citizens na hirap na maglakad (pero gusto pa din mag gala sa mall).

Siguro mandalas nya itong ginagawa by pretendind to be PWD,kunwari pag baba nya ng kotse papilay pilay sya lalakad papasok at palabas ng mall(monkey wise or street wise)don't worry guys, karma will catch up on him![]()
For me it is a case to case basis. PWD does not mean you are immobile.
Meron kaming kasamahan nakareserve sa siya sa office namin na PWD dahil may tama yung left leg niya (dunno about the exact syndrome pero maliit yung isang paa niya) pero nakakapagdrive siya using automatic nga lang.
Yung mga nakawheelchair naman, same with my lola before normally I/we drop them sa entrance ng mall or hospital.

just a thought, has anyone really drove a PWD to anyplace and left the PWD alone at the entrance and then park to a regular slot?
we have relatives that are bed ridden. if they get the luxury to get out of the house we never leave them alone. mas mahirap naman kasi na gumulong out of control yung wheel chair while waiting for the companion than parking in a pwd slot and getting out of the van together.
for me okay lang gamitin ang PWD slot ng driver and the PWD. its not the driver that has special needs. its stil the PWD.

Common sense naman bro, will you leave a PWD alone on a wheelchair? kaya nga case to case basis.
Like my example above, kung kasama mo yung PWD at magpapark ka, you can use the PWD slot.
Same thing with old people kailangan mahabang bwelo because either masakit kasukasuhan or likod, kaya pwede din sila sa PWD slot.

yup. case to case basis. i was reacting to comments about just dropping pwd off. minsan kasi sa dami at laki ng dalang equipment, better to park muna then sabay na papasok ng pupuntahan.

now, puro malls kasi yung building na example, paano yung mga walang "drop-off" area?
2. oo nga, di porke't PWD e naka wheel chair. BUT, kung babasahin mo yung batas tungkol sa PWDs, they considered the PWD on the worst case scenario which is on a wheel chair. hence the size of the PWD parking slot.
PWD does not necessarily mean nakawheel chair, its just that ample space is necessary for mobility of the PWD in case he/she is driving. of course nakafactor in na din yung sa worst case scenario mo.
by the way, Fire Code, NBC and other are based on the "ibang bansa" codes and standards. in the case of fire code NFPA and etc.

^^^baka nagmamadali at may appointment sa jeany/goodlife. Hehehehe.
By the way sir greatauror, I think we are still on topic because we are discussing proper use of PWD parking.
And I personally think that it is stup*d to use the pwd parking if you dont have the pwd with you.
