abuse of authority pa din yan. kahit mali yung taga-times, walang authority si de dios na:
1. have a siren in his car
2. draw his gun
3. apprehend a motorist (kahit mmda pa siya wala siya sa uniform)
pasalamat si de dios at hindi pulis/military/licensed to carry gun owner yung hinarang nya. paano na kung nagkataon, e di nalaman sana nya kung marunong siya mag-drive habang inuulan ng baba. any 2-bit lawyer can argue that it is self defense. hindi official police vehicle na gamit nya so it can always be argued that the actions of de dios are suspicious.
as for the times reporter driving at 3am, e taga media. print media people usually work at those hours, right after beating the deadline. then they usually meet at the press club sa intramuros where they have a few beers. it's no different from some makati yuppies going for a few rounds after work, it's just that print media people finish work later than most of us.Last edited by yebo; September 23rd, 2005 at 03:07 PM.

2 things to notice in media report:
De Dios is in "hot water"
De Dios is being tailed by Honda CRV woman
* if he is in hot water, hot water from whom, wala naman higher official nagbigay ng statement na i-relieve sya or nag-scold sa kanya.
* parang imposible naman ata that a she escorts a he, or is it the other way, around. natural naman natin sa mga lalaking pinoy to escort a lady particularly in the wee hours of the morning. siguro there is possibility that those drunk media men almost hit the CRV, kaya De Dios was compelled to use his "emergency" power.
it's the lesser of two evils, the media men can hurt other people, the MMDA exec can only hurt them only bec. they were irresponsible. everything else is just speculation like what if you are confronted by an armed person in 300AM. stick with the topic at hand. that's how the media plays us, the what ifs.
I believe De Dios exercised force - what is deemed necessary. and he is chivalrous too ... hehehe trigger-happy men dont reach the rank of execs

obviously, the report means "hot water" in the sense that a ranking official is in the center of a controversy, and not necessarily that he is about to be punished by a superior hehe.
as far as I'm concerned, the Honda CR-V "escort" is totally irrelevant. if we "stick with the topic at hand", as you insist, then that mystery lady shouldn't even be in the picture.
hindi ako galit ha, atat lang na mag-alas singko na :bwahaha:

if the media men invented the crv woman character, then may kasunod sa news na yan. Exec with mysterious companion, and showbiz na kagad, may pang-blackmail pa.
if the media men can attest to the existence of the crv woman, then they wouldn't place her CRV in front of De Dios, coz there is danger in that. it might confirm their swaying driving style. A more convenient "write-up" would be make her an "escort" of De Dios, place her at the back of the Trooper. so that the woman will become, as you say, irrelevant but still it leaves a window of opportunity for future write-ups
even the 2-bottles of beer write-up shows how resourceful & prepared these writers are ...Last edited by oldblue; September 24th, 2005 at 03:36 AM.

kaya ayaw kong pinapanigan yung taga media ay dahil...
1. lasing sya ng magmaneho
2. dapat nagasampa muna sya ng reklamo sa mmda (by going to the media first, you immediately step on the rights of this de dios. give the guy the proper process! alam nyo naman.. anything on tv or in paper will be regarded as the truth.)
yes, mali si de dios. yes, this media man has rights. but, we still have to validate the story.

August 4th, 2010 11:38 AM #60*A1, Agree ako sa iyo. Sometimes nagpapalusot lang naman ibang tao even if they know na mali sila. Kung Si De Dios sinasabi na nag-aabuse siya ng authority, marami ring Media na nagaabuse sa freedom ng Journalism depende kung magkano ang lagay at depense mechanism lang nila para di sila matanggal trabaho.
Kahit investigate nila yan for sure wla mangyayari.. makakalimutan din yan.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
