Abducted’ Chinese returns home

THE Chinese woman who was reported to have been abducted in Makati City last week returned home, police said on Monday.

Makati City Police Investigation Unit Chief Maj. Gideon Ines said that Zhou returned home Sunday. This was confirmed by her husband Chen Tangbin.

“Nakauwi na po yung babae. Nakauwi na po sa kanilang tahanan. Sa ngayon po ay sabi ng asawa niya, nag-text sa akin, nakauwi na raw siya kahapon ng umaga

(the woman is home. Her husband texted me saying she came home yesterday morning),” Ines said.

However, the police had yet to see the woman, Ines said.

He added that they are waiting for the woman to give her statement to the Makati police.

This is just sad. Sa ibang bansa ito na throw down na tong driver sa concrete at nalagyan na ng posas. Sa atin pakiusapan pa ng paghingi ng lisensya. Almost running over an enforcer is frustrated murder. Tapos ticket lang nakikiusap ka pa na ibigay ang lisensya? Kaya găgo mga Pinoy driver eh, ang lamya ng batas.

Another driver who weaved between enforcers who were trying to stop him for a yellow lane violation.

Because of the angle, you can’t see the enforcer at the front actually had to jump out of the way of the vehicle.

A rider chased after the vehicle and brought it to a stop.

- The driver started with apologies.

- Next he said it was an emergency

- Then he started name dropping people in the MMDA.

- After that he said he was just going too fast

- Finally he started name dropping a religious group and some people associated with that group.

Seriously, you’re going to risk killing an enforcer over a P1 ticket for using the bus lane?

And do you think your friends and contacts will appreciate you throwing their names out there? especially for something so trivial?

As always, I've blanked out the names that were dropped because there's no way to know if he's really connected with those people or just heard the names somewhere. And even if he does know them, I doubt they would condone what he's doing.
