Baka idemanda yung Valley Golf ng "unfair ruling" ng dalawang parties. May truth nga sa pagiging "hothead" itong matanda na Dela Paz. Ayan nadamay yung mga anak niya, banned...
Dela Paz expelled, DAR chief suspended
MANILA, Philippines -- The board of directors of the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo City has expelled businessman Delfin dela Paz, suspended Agrarian Reform Secretary Nasser Pangandaman Sr. for two years and banned their children from the golf course in connection with a brawl last month.
"A letter form the board informed us that we have been expelled," Dela Paz confirmed.
Dela Paz said the same letter he got also stated Pangandaman's two-year suspension and the ban on his sons Hussein and Nasser Jr., the mayor of the Masiu, Lanao del Sur. Dela Paz's children Bambee and Bino were also banned from playing in the club.
The Dela Pazes and the Pangandamans have filed charges and counter-charges against each other with the Antipolo Prosecutors' Office, over the fight on the golf course that hogged the headlines for days.
Valley Secretary Teofilo Abejo confirmed the board's decisions in a press conference later.
The elder Dela Paz was expelled for disorderly conduct in instigating the brawl. Pangandaman Sr. was suspended only because he was not directly involved in the melee. He, however, was deemed accountable for the disorderly conduct of his guests (in this case, his sons), hence, the suspension.
The parties could still appeal the decision of the club, said Abejo.Last edited by Monseratto; January 11th, 2009 at 04:56 PM.

Di pa ako marunong mag-golf Madame e.
Tsaka I prefer swimming as a leisure sport. Though my cousins are golfers, I never really fancied the seemingly hard sport. (small ball, big playground, expensive fees).

The Dela Paz are still playing "kawawa ung mga bata" sympathy through the media. They seem to have given up challenging their retention in Valley Golf. I guess their so called "search for truth" is muddled some where else. Next telenovela please...
Delfin de la Paz said the club’s decision was one-sided because the caddies interviewed were those of the Pangandamans.
"Yan ang malungkot, wala pong katotohanan yan [That's what saddens me. There is no truth to that]," he said.
De la Paz said that his step to move backwards when he folded the umbrella only proved that he acted in self-defense because he felt that Mayor Pangandaman was ready to pounce on him.
He also said he was "shocked" at the move to expel him, saying he was only expecting that he would only be suspended.
"How would you expect a fair result?" he said. "Na-shock ako. Hindi ako makatulog, medyo mahirap pa rin. Ang ini-expect ko lang ay suspension."
["I am shocked and I was having a hard time sleeping. I was only expecting suspension."]
De la Paz said he received a copy of the resolution Saturday night.
De la Paz said the golfing career of his son, Bino, who represents the Philippines in international golf tournaments, may be affected adversely because of the club’s recommendations that the businessman’s dependents be "banned for life."
"Ang concern ko ay naka’y Bino. Ano na ang future ng bata? Parang pinarusahan nila yung bata," De la Paz said.
["I am concerned with my son. What about the child? It’s like they punished him."]
He noted that since the mauling incident, Bino displayed loss of interest in playing golf.
"Ayaw na niya humawak ng club. Natatakot ako na mawala ang interest niya sa golf,' he said.
["Bino does not even want to hold his golf club. I am afraid he may lose his interest on golf."]
He added that they might have to now have to look for other golf courses with members willing to accommodate them.
"Once you are expelled, others may think you are a trouble maker," De la Paz said.
Still, De la Paz remained confident that the justice system will vindicate them.
"Ang NBI marunong sila [The NBI is competent]. I still have faith in the justice system," Dela Paz said.

Kawawa naman yan kung sa golf lang nakasalalay ang kinabukasan niya. As a father, you should have known better.
