BOCAUE, Bulacan — Carjacking incidence may have dropped in Quezon City, but it’s on the rise in Bulacan.

Yesterday, two carjacking incidents were recorded in the province, one in Pulilan town and the other in this town.

Police said a black Toyota RAV-4 (NAN-15) owned by businessman Marlon Melencio, 30, was forcibly taken by three unidentified armed men at Brgy. Poblacion, Pulilan town around 1:30 a.m. yesterday.

Melencio was onboard the vehicle and was maneuvering when the suspects with drawn fire arms stopped him and drove his vehicle away.

About the same time, a black Honda City (XHM-387), was also forcibly taken from Romina Santiago y Reyes by four unidentified armed men.

Superintendent Sheldon Jacaban, head of the provincial intelligence investigation branch of the provincial police office said the car was actually owned by a certain Maritess Hozmizo y Santiago who resides at Villarica Homes, Lolomboy, Bocaue.

He said a green Honda CRV blocked the path of Santiago and ordered her to get off at gun point.

Santiago told police that the suspects were armed with M-16 assault rifles and caliber 45 pistols.

Earlier, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) was stolen at Brgy. Turo here just after New Year.

Sources said that the owner of the SUV was buying pyrotechnics when unidentified men boarded the vehicle and drove away.

Watched the news last night about the stolen Honda City. Yeah, apparently carnapper/carjackers have relocated somewhat. I do not in any way condone what they do, pero sana man lang kunin na lang nila yung sasakyan at wag na nila saktan yung mga pasahero.
