Heck, even metal rims still have value. These people will kill even for just 1 peso! Good thing when I was in MOA, I came back to my car to get the 40 bucks I placed on top of the dash, which was clearly visible from the outside. I'm pretty sure my windshield would have been shattered since I also parked outside that time.

I also suspect that the carnapping scheme is a modus operandi of MOA so that you avail of their pay parking.

    Some tips lang when parking:

    1. Do not leave anything valuable in the car.
    2. Remove easily stealable items like wheel caps, wiper screw covers (especially the bullet-shaped ones found in most Toyotas), etc. Even the plate covers like Wellars are robber magnets (ours just got stolen).
    3. If your stereo can easily be detached, bring it with you and have it kept in a storage area inside the mall.
    4. Refrain from buying colorful wheel nuts and flashy tire valve covers. Not only can they be easily stolen, you and your car will also be at risk when running.

    actually mags din yun. grabe.
kaya bumili na lang ako ng 2nd hand na rim at 2nd hand na gulong, nakawin nila ulit.

i tried using padlocks but my experience pag naputikan at nalagyan yung keyhole tutulo ang pawis mo pagtanggal ng lock.

Chain locks vary in price from Php88.00 (BLADE) to Php300++ (Concorde). Sa SM Basement, somewhere in between ang price.

Matagal na pong raket iyan. They deflate the tire and kick it out of its underbody carrier. Sa mga vans at AUV's ito madalas nangyayari.

Pero nakukuhanan din ang mga pick up kahit hand winch type ang spare carrier nila and not basket type.

This is what I am talking about in my previous post. Toyota lock by Solex. It costs Php 3300.00+. Shown on the pic is a Fortuner but it also compatible with the Innova. It has a black plastic cover for the key-hole when not in use.

I hope you lubed it up, baka mag-seize yung mechanism. Yung ibang locks namin facing downwards na yung keyhole nag seize pa din.

I inject grease into the mechanism using a syringe nga pala (without the needle). Tapos coat ko yung paligid. Hindi baleng madumi, wala naman makakakita.

What kind of grease/oil do you recommend for safe application for the type of lock as shown in the pic above? It has a plastic mold to cover the entire bottom of the lock (keyhole) when not in use). TIA

What I dont really like is for oil to collect on the bottom of the lock esp. when I cover it with the plastic mold cover.

nakupow, madalas pa naman kami dyan sa MOA especially after work...

dun din ako park sa likod sa may bandang bay area. usually kasi kakain lang naman kami and konting gimik, tapos i make sure na dapat nakapili na kami ng resto/bar para at least alam ko kung saan ako magpa-park, as much as possible sa tapat lang ng resto, tapos dun kami labas palagi para presko at the same time bantay ko pa ride ko.

Ibayong pag-iingat na lang mga peeps!
Lalo ngayon at magpa-pasko na naman!
