just to clarify, im not here to start a religious war or something. gusto ko lang malaman opinion niyo on this matter.

napansin ko lang yung karamihan ng malalaking simbahan ay walang ample parking space or wala talagang alloted parking space for churchgoers. kaya every sunday (or friday in the case of quiapo) nagiging cause of traffic yung mga nakaparadang sasakyan sa kalsada. obvious examples are:

    - quiapo church
    - st. peter in commonwealth
    - the church in mindanao avenue near st. james

back to basics, ayon sa constitution: the separation of church and state is blah blah blah. but what is the limit? i've read somewhere that establishments are required by law (construction-related) to provide parking space to their customers and the like, are churches covered by this?

naisip ko lang kasi, kung need talaga magdala ng sasakyan going to quiapo church, pwede naman siguro iwan sa SM Manila then ride an fx or taxi to the church. kung takot naman mahold-up along the way, then the church itself is by no means safe from pickpockets and gropers

I avoid this problem by going to the 4 pm mass. I can choose a good parking slot. The worst time would be the 9 am and 5:30 pm mass.

for old churches circa Spanish era, wala naman motor vehicle pa ng tinayo ang mga yan so parking space was not considered at that time.

good point. pero this can be remedied by NOT allowing vehicles to be parked along a major thoroughfare like in the case of quiapo. pwede naman sa side streets kung saan di makakaperwisyo. plus may mga malls with ample parking spaces near the vicinity like isetann and sm manila.

yung sa mindanao ave... hay naku.

    Ot na rin siguro ako.
    To Sir Clavel,
Hindi po sinasamba ang mga santo, they are asked to pray for us/intercede for us, believing that we are a community in prayer, before God. We believed that saints and holy men, living extraordinary lives on earth, have special graces with God.

    To Sir Jick,

other religions recognized saints and holy men such as the Aglipay, East Orthodox Church, Greek Orthodox church, the Church of England and even other protestant religious sects. Even muslims recognized saints and holy men. They honored Abraham, Elijah, the Blessed Virgen Mary as holy people. They also recognized Jesus Christ as a prophet.

Again, I am very sorry for being OT. Peace.

That church in Mindanao avenue.. people want to bring their cars for convenience but never wanted to pay for the construction of the multi level parking lot. Word is that the church is still paying for that lame excuse for a parking lot and the priest isn't focusing on paying that millions of debt. Dam corruption

They say God is everywhere, so you can worship anywhere. You don't have to show people you go to church to "pray".

Or at least kasya and 100 cars.

HaaaaY...It boils down again to our useless government..!

The church should be the one who reminds their parishioners about traffic rules.

O tamad maglakad?

I try to avoid that area on Sundays.
Thursday nights two lanes kinakain nila sa Mindanao Ave.
