3rd charred body belongs to missing car dealer

The third charred remains found in Central Luzon in less than a week belonged to missing car dealer Venson Evangelista, making him the third victim of what police believe is a carjacking syndicate operating in the area.
Venson’s father, Arsenio, told a radio interview Tuesday afternoon that police were able to identify the body by comparing its teeth with his son’s dental records.
"Hindi po isang good afternoon ito. Unfortunately, nag-match... positively nag-match (ang dental records)," said Arsenio in an interview on radio dzBB.
He said he is already arranging for Venson’s body to be brought back to Manila "as I have promised my son."
Venson’s body was found around 5 a.m. in Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija. Before him, the bodies of Emerson Lozano and his driver Ernane Sensil were found in Pampanga and Tarlac, respectively, last week.
Like Lozano, son of Marcos lawyer Oliver Lozano, Venson was also last seen accompanying a prospective car buyer for a test drive.
Investigators have yet to establish a motive for the crime, but said they are looking into the possibility that the perpetrators belonged to a carjacking syndicate in Central Luzon whose members pose as car buyers.
"Gawa po ito ng isang walang kaluluwang nilalang na dapat maparusahan sa batas (This is a handiwork of someone who has no soul and who should be punished by law)," said Chief Superintendent Alan Purisima, head of Central Luzon Regional Police.
Purisima, in a separate interview by dzBB, said he has already given the special task force probing the three killings five days to come up with a "substantial report."
He said there is high probability that only one group was behind the killings based on the manner of execution.
"Kasi inihulog silang tatlo, may tama ng baril tapos nilagay sa isang lugar na hindi matao... so malaki ang posibilidad na isang grupo ang may dahilan dito (The three victims were shot to death and then dumped in remote place, so it’s highly possible that only one group was behind this)," said Purisima. — KBK/RSJ, GMANews.TVLast edited by Monseratto; January 18th, 2011 at 08:02 PM.

Car dealers in panic

MANILA, Philippines - Owners of car dealers fear the emergence of a new syndicate that not only carnaps a car being test-driven but also kills the owner of the car.
With the recent killing of Emerson Lozano and the continued disappearance of Venson Evangelista, car dealers say authorities should hunt down this syndicate because it is now becoming dangerous to buy and sell cars.
To protect themselves from potential danger, some dealers do not let their cars to be test-driven alone, or they ask one of their helpers to go with the potential buyer everytime a potential buyer insists on a test drive.
Meantime, Boy Evangelista, father of Venson, wants carnapping to be made a non-bailable offense.
Evangelista notes that car thieves are growing bolder, as shown from recent cases were victims were murdered.
Evangelista says previous cases only involved the theft of the vehicle, and victims are released unharmed. -- with ANC

I suggest yung mga car dealers, magka-isa sila na mag-designate ng isang road test area kung saan meron silang security escort. At merong designated road test time window.

January 19th, 2011 03:28 PM #30Venson is my teammate from Team Nemesis.
This is a great loss to the airsoft and car sellers community
At this point in time...prayers will help a lot. Pray for justice, Pray for the eternal rest of Venson's soul, and prayer for the Evangelista Family to be strong.
