September 5th, 2008 03:07 PM #11same thing here at osmena ave...
ang nakakainis pa is MMDA and a police outpost is just a stone throw away...

September 6th, 2008 07:31 AM #18If we don't give anything or buy anything from sampaguita vendors or mendicants, they will stop coming to our intersections and harassing us. I never give them anything or buy anything. I knock on the window if they try to peek. I move forward to avoid them. After awhile, they recognize my ride and stop asking altogether. For as long as there are people who give to them, they will not stop doing this.
I stopped giving when my wife and I were in the intersection of Ortigas and Santolan. We saw a group of mendicants begging. Since it was late at night and cars were not staying too long in the intersection, the mendicants hailed a cab and got on board. What the f**k?! From that point on, we decided never to give to mendicants or buy sampaguitas. Besides, am alergic to sampaguita.
On punas boys, God only knows where they got the water. Could be from a drain, canal or worse from overflow water from septic tanks. Yuck!

Yung mga sampaguita vendors naman, dyan sa may intersection/traffic light malapit sa Malacanang, near that bridge ( I forgot the name ), mga teens naman ang nagtitinda. Kaso, pansin ko, kontodo "kolorete" sila (naka-make up pa). Minsan grupo sila.
Iniisip ko tuloy, baka may ibang "bulaklak" pa silang itinitinda.
