sa thailand common na lang ung mga insects as delicacies. maraming vendors
sa mga roadsides nagtitinda ng insects, kagaya ng: black scorpions, beetles, wood maggets(worms),cockroaches,ant eggs,etc. sabagay pwedeng kainin ang mga ito, good source of protein ang mga insekto. di lang tayo sanay. siguro pag naistranded ako sa forest at wala akong pagkain, siguro puro insekto ang kakainin ko para mag survive ako.

August 15th, 2006 11:26 AM #22:lol: brings back the memories. 16 y.o. ako noong mag work ako p/t (during summer) sa mcdonald's. ang babastos ng mga customers lalong lalo na ang mga itim. mababa kasi tingin nila sa mga nagtra-trabaho sa mga fastfood. may mga iba na pag malapit nang maubos yung burger nila, tsaka sila magrereklamo na malamig yung burger kaya gusto nila ng replacement na mas mainit o kaya refund. syempre, customer is always right kaya walang tanong kami nga binibigay yung gusto nila.
isang araw na bad trip ako, may gumawa ng ganoon. sa asar ko, nagdilim ang paningin ko. nakipagpalitan ako sa likod at ako ang gumawa ng pagkain noong customer. ang ginawa ko pagkaluto ko yung karne, sinadyo kung iniholog sa sahig yung karne, tapos ipinunas ko sa takong ng sapatos ko, nilagyan ko ng dura at plemas, tapos sinaluhan din ng dura ng kasama ko, tapos binigay namin yung burger sa customer. pinanood namin sya habang sarap na sarap sya sa pagkain ng kanyang burger. halos sumakit yung tian naming dalawa ng kasama ko sa katatawa.. :lol: aaminin ko masama yung ginawa namin, pero 16 lang kami noon. di rin ako nakatagal.

We ate merienda at maxim's once... Umorder kami ng Siomai, Siopao, Asado then Noodles.... Dumating agad yung Siomai at nakain namin pero ang tagal tagal na finallow-up namin yung ibang order nde pa binibigay... Hanggang sa nainis kami ginawa namin nilayasan namin kahit d pa namin binayaran yung Siomai...
One time sa KFC pinag antay ako ng 15 mins. for the Chicken fillet meal. Dumating ang 15 mins. sabi i-seserve na raw... d pa rin dumating at nung mag 10 minutes na akong nag aantay pinuntahan ko yung manager at pinagalitan sya about what happened. In short I got the meal for free.
Ibig lang sabihin: kapag nde maganda ang service, you have the right to refuse to pay or ask for a refund of what you paid!

food attendants probably get paid really, really badly. the only consuelo de bobo is the law-mandated free meal during work hours. nakakatulong din yun.
the OP can't compare his experience because HRIM siya and everything. at the top of the food-processing food chain na siya halos.
on a side note. yung KFC sa Leviste/Rufino, tagal tagal ako kumakain dun (lapit sa office dati). mga 2-3 years worth starting nung pag bagong bukas.
sobrang sagwa nung service nila dun. 24 hours kasi tapos daming call center sa tabi. ang lakas nung turnover ng employees nila. i was un-priviledged to witness this fat gay dude (prolly from a call center) yelling at the employees in his call center fafable English kasi something screwed up sa order niya.
ako marami na akong beses na screw-up (mainly napakatagal maghintay for an order) sa KFC na yan. pero di ko sila inaaway kasi takot ako na they'll screw with the food. i kept asking myself bakit kain ako ng kain dun in spite of everything. short answer, no choice.
besides, as a consumer your ultimate recourse is to avoid patronizing them. pero dahil nga 24 hours and dami call center sa tabi, they don't give a **** if they lose customers, there's lots more. kaya ayun they don't care about customer service. i never got a free meal out of them..

had the same experience the past 2 sundays sa sumosam, shang. bad bad service. ate ko lang kasi mapilit sa jap food.

September 2nd, 2006 07:59 AM #28bad experience ng tita ko when she went home restaurant sa NAIA.Their flight was delayed and the airline (EMIRATES) has given vouchers to use to eat in the said restaurant while waiting for the flight.My tita forgot the name of the restaurant.She's coming here in England with her friend with her British husband.
ang kuento ito, yong flight kasi is bound for london via dubai and marami tayong mga kapatid na work dun as DH,so yon ang nakasma ng mga tita ko sa restaurant.Sa start pa lang ng pag order ng food using the voucher asar yong mga waiter and they are RACIST to their own people.Bilisan daw nila pagkain nila and so they can go.Some of them refused to go kasi la pa flight nila and they were instructed to wait ther,tapos eto na powaiter na astig nagmesamesa to tell them to leave.yng mga kapatid nating DH napaalis sila. But he came to the table of my tita she is in a simple attire na mukha DH,binanatan niya yong waiter with her matching English accent,na they should show respect sa mga filipino kahit na ano work nila.Then dumating yong husband ng friend niya na briton.Sabi niya sa waiter can you tell him (briton)what you said to the other pinoys i dont think so.So ipinatawag niya yong manager and told him to teach his staff to serve equally sa locals and foreign.
Hay naku pinoy pa ang number racist against kapwa pinoy.

Basta bistro group the best sa lahat!! Fridays,italiannis,outback fish and co. From parking to bill out sobra ok. Malinis masrap so efficient mga tao not to mention very polite and accommodating. Kaya pag family night out or dinner with wifey no questions asked na kami.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
