overtaking lane = left inner lane (fast lane). Tama ba?

In line to enter a carpark at St. Luke's E. Rod (where parking is a capital B). Staying in the opposite lane, signaling and all. Decided not to closely follow the car in front to avoid blocking the incoming lane. Lo and behold came a pick-up on the lane, which without signalling, suddenly turned to the entrance and cut the line. I did move forward at that point and gave the LADY driver a honk. She exclaimed loudly on her already opened windows, 'AYAW MO EH'.
Haha, so classy.

I use the SLEX everyday to go to work. On weekdays, the drivers are more disciplined than weekenders. On weekdays, I try to drive on the middle & try to overtake slow midlaners on the left. I usually run 100 kph in the middle. If ever I wander off to the left, I go back to the middle since some drivers go faster than 100 on the left. On weekends, it is very chaotic. Slow ones hog the left, middle lanes are for faster cars & on the rightmost lane you'd encounter those cars who overspeed & flash you to get out of the way.
Didn't know you could still reach 100 kph on SLEX on weekdays, I thought it just turns into one long parking lot lol
I still blame LTO for the lack of driver's discipline. Until they make driver's education mandatory for getting a license, hanggang ganito na lang estado ng mga kalsada dito sa atin. Driving should be a privilege, not a right.

Nah. Not much traffic on slex anymore. I especially love driving on Sundays to and from Sta Rosa. It's not too far from home so it's not tiring.
And that dear bros and sis,- is a classic example on why "keep intersection open at all times" will not gain traction in our country...

I also use the SLEX everyday,- but just one segment of it.
Those vehicles who flash their headlights on the rightmost lane,- their drivers are probably tired and frustrated at flashing their headlights at those vehicles on the leftmost lane doing only 80....
Our expat then would use that emergency shoulder (old SLEX during that time) for overtaking slow moving vehicles. And when at one time I "confronted" him,- he told me that it was the "executive lane"....

It's just

I have similar a somewhat similar observation on NLEX. You see the drivers with no disclipline more on weekends; most especially on long weekends. My hypothesis is that the regular road users are more disciplined and aware of the rules of the highway versus those occasional users who are more impatient, hog lanes, or get wet dreams on flooring the pedal and pushing their cars to "top speed pero stable pa rin pare".

Like the zipper rule, yeah.
Reflection of our culture. Hence, hard to continually be hopeful of change in anything, especially government-related. End of the day, just have to keep calm and not let ourselves become those who're part of the problem. (Riiiight, easier said than done)
Then he should have just let you pass then changed into the right lane. Baka dating sasakyan nya motor.
