January 18th, 2009 03:31 PM #31Ganyan din ang nangyari sa akin. Umalis ako ng Pinas noong January 10, 2009. Sabi ng immigration officer na may HDO daw ako. Tinanong ko kung pareho ang middle initial, ang tagal bago makasagot ng imiggration officer. Tapos sinabihan ko yung immigration officer na malabo na ako yang nasa HDO dahil kakakuha ko lang ng NBI clearance ko bago mag pasko at dala ko pa. Ayun, pinalusot din ako. Akala nya siguro maiisahan nya ko.

Ganun talaga kawawa ka pag na tsambahan ka na may namesake ka na may hold departure order.
Pero wag ka maraming sindikato dyan na immigration officer, nag papabayad lusot ka maske may travel ban sa country na pupuntahan mokahit sa Iraq ka pa pumunta pag may contact ka lusot

March 1st, 2009 02:04 PM #33I understand this thread states Hold Departure Order. But just to clarify that the BID distinguishes between Hold Departure Order and Watchlist. There is a chance that the immigration officers might use Hold Order and Watchlist interchangeably So better to double check if you are unexpectedly put in such a situation. Watchlist, I think you may be able to get away with. Hold Order, well....

We were hit once with this Hold Departure Order. Some of our engineers were DOST Scholars so the first time, one of them was already in the airport when he was not allowed to board the plane....
Now, we know better....
