Almost hit by a fire truck!

Last night me and my wife is going to baclaran church and I choose to fly the route of macapagal blvd. Nag pagas ako sa petron eh may nauna sa akin at nilalagyan pa ng motor oil so transfer ako sa left side kahit nasa left side ang tank cover ko kasi abot naman ang hose. I was the one who opened the cover, and talking to the gas attendant while filling me with gas, while all of a sudden a Damed firetruck is coming our way in a fast manner buti naisara ko pa ang door bago ko umakap sa body ng kotse kundi nahagip ako, the gasoline boy jumped on top of my trunk ( buti di lumubog) pareho kami namumutla sa takot. di siya government fire truck, volunteer yata, grabe! Kaya dun siya dumaan kasi stop pa yung ilaw kaya di siya maka go.
Ramdam na ramdam ko ang hangin na dumaan sa likod ko.

Admittedly, these volunteers are quite reckless. Isang beses sa Rizal Ave. ext, muntik na kami magitgit niyan. Nakahanap ng butas kaya biglang papasok sa lane namin na hindi man magsignal at sobrang lapit buti nagbrake kami ng todo otherwise sapol.

I managed to read in the news a couple of years, volunteers also managed to turn turtle their fire engine after allegedly driving recklessly through complete negligence of the law.

The volunteers help alot in stopping fire (if it werent for them lives and properties wont be saved bec. the Manila firemen are simply inept and ill-equipped to do their duties) but they (volunteer) should not go on a mission in that kind of reckless manner bec. they endanger the other people's lives on the road, aside from their own. And will be delayed from doing their urgent task of putting out fire.

Wala kasi sila pananagutan kapag may nangyari. They will just say 'emergency' then kamot ulo or kamot itlog. Nasa gasolinahan na kayo. That is private property and is not considered a road. They should have exercised caution. Rushing to an emergency is one thing, creating medical emergencies along the way is another.

Up to this time parang nag fla flashback pa rin siya sa akin, Imagine kahit pala patay ang makina at nagpa pagas ka na lang pwede ka pa rin ma aksidente, Diko nga nakuha ang plaka post ko sana dito!

Thanks Sir nugundam93, wala naman namgyari masama, pati sa gasloline boy! One more thing pa pala ang narinig ko pa na sabi nung nasa passenger side ng truck ay "ayaw kasi tumabi eh" kumdi ba naman gago araw araw yung mga yun eh nasa gas station ako, at iyun namang mga nasa taas ng truck mga nakahubad ng shirt at ngingiti ngiti!

hindi naman sa ganun...im not a volunteer..pero isang beses muntik narin ako i head on. mas may karapatan sila dahil sa emergency kasi malamang buhay ang sasagipin nila.mas importante nga naman kesa sa kotseng mababangga nila (without hurting anyone, of course).

minsan muntik narin ako i head on niyan sa cainta.one way street.i had to back out.ayun may nabunggo tuloy akong lasing na nasa motor.tilapon yung naatrasan ko.buti nalang hindi nasaktan...

good to hear indi kayo tinamaan. hirap talaga pag ganyan ... i still remember when i was a grad student in up diliman nakasakay ko sa ikot jeep when i saw a couple of parked cars that had sideswipe damages ... may red paint pa na naiwan dun sa damaged parts. only later ko nalaman na may dumaan daw na firetruck kasi may sunog within the campus.
