di ba delikado rin yung slow down? mas maganda siguro kung itabi mo muna sasakyan? or go like 20kph sa shoulder? kung talagang 0 visibility.

If you're going to slow down just before the fog/smoke,- I am certain that the vehicles behind you would do the same.... Also, turn-on your lights to broadcast your dynamic position....,And, the danger zone is only a few car-lengths anyway, so you're going to be out of it in a very short while.....

You have to slow down a long way BEFORE entering the smoke/fog as well as turning on your lights (parklights/fog).

If you slow down after you enter the smoke/fog, you are just asking for trouble.

If you stop, make sure you have your lights turned on but that is still no guarantee that someone will crash into you because you are a target the longer you stay inside the smoke/fog area.

I encountered a similar situation in NLEX before (in fact a van ahead of us crashed into another car who slowed down suddenly). I'd agree with what GH mentioned, slow down well before the smoke and open your lights so you can dictate the speed/tempo to the cars following you. Don't ever stop inside the smoke and if you're really in doubt, just slow down and stop before the smoke
