This incident has not yet been reported in the major newspapers. Usually, something like would attract reporters like flies.
this just ruined my night! and this even happened in broad daylight!!i thought it was during the night..
i couldn't let this thread pass without imparting this impt. message. Just two or three days ago i ran across an ad in the phil. inquirer about road safety. The project was spearheaded by an international group and is being supported by AAP here. The Make Roads Safe Campaign is an int'l advocacy promoting road safety esp. in thirld world countries. I already listed my name for this worthwhile cause. This is basically their slogan:
"Every 3 minutes a child is killed on the world’s roads. More than 95% are killed in developing countries.
Make Roads Safe is an international campaign demanding urgent action by the G8 and UN to tackle road safety in developing countries.
We need your support."
you can visit their website to list your name--sort of like a signature campaign. it will just take a minute: http://www.makeroadssafe.org/ or www.thinkbeforeyoudrive.com and find their link there.
It happened around 3:45 pm which usually daw walang kotse yung area ng Promenade. The Toyota Hilux driver was driving in front of Promenade (yung sa may Starbucks & World Music Room) and turned left (yung street na papuntang Chillis) e pero ang problema, hindi ba 2-way street yun with only a rope tied to a pole dividing the lanes. So he immediately turned left so nag-counterflow siya. The Hilux driving crashed a Civic and may Innova pa ata kasunod sa likod. Sobra lakas daw yung collision kasi one of the cars was on the sidewalk na daw. Di lang alam ng friend ko where the mother and daughter came from pero namatay na daw dun. Tumakas daw yung driver. Tsaka wala daw media with only one police car and by the end of the afternoon, back to normal na daw.
Ang gulo no... iba-ibang kwento... from what I read in the previous posts, na-mention yung McDonald's... hmm.... iba story kaya etong sinabi sa akin?!
ganyan talaga ang buhay ....tsk tsk tsk .wawa namanTumakas daw yung driver. Tsaka wala daw media with only one police car and by the end of the afternoon, back to normal na daw.
grabe ito ah. wala man lang media mileage to at least help catch the driver?!![]()
i'm just curious why people are jumping to the conclusion na may steering defect yung auto that lead to the accident? may formal investigation na ba or just hearsay?
Based on the assumption that nobody is stupid enough to accelerate on a crowded pedestrian lane, after a hump at that and not step on the brakes when the girls were crossing.
Ganun talaga, unfair. Never mind if hatinggabi nangyari yun with zero taillights and zero brake lights yung nasa harapan!

TNX!
